Pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears Gives Revealing Interview
Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant. She is 16. This you know by now.
The father is boyfriend Casey Aldridge. This you also know by now.
Jamie Lynn Spears spoke to OK! Magazine about the baby she has been carrying for 12 weeks, unbeknownst to us - and even to Britney Spears - until last night. Here are some excerpts from Jamie Lynn's exclusive interview with OK!:
On the pregnancy being a shock to her and Casey Aldridge: "It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected. I was in complete, total shock and so was he."
On keeping the news to herself at first: "As soon as I found out from the doctor, I took two weeks where I didn't tell anybody. Only one of my good friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends."
Seen here in July, Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge will soon be parents.
On her mother not liking the news of her pregnancy: "My mother [Lynne Spears] was very upset I was pregnant because it wasn't what she expected at all. A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive."
On the message she's sending to teenagers about premarital sex: "I definitely don't think it's something you should do; it's much better to wait. But I can't be judgmental because it's a position I put myself in."
Lynne Spears on getting the news of her third grandchild (Britney has two young sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston herself): "I didn't believe it because Jamie Lynn's always been so conscientious. She's never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby."

Well I give Jamie lots of luck for this child and her. I have been though alot about thinking that I'm pregnant because Iv'e had sex with no pertection. So I now how u feel about this whole thing. Do yourslef a favor and dont listen to pepole who think your a slut or what ever. Your pretty and smart and have fun being a new mom to be!

I totally support Jamie Lynne. She is obviously the only sane Spears sister. Yeah, maybe it wasn't that smart to get pregnant, but so far she hasn't shaved her head, lost her children, and done drugs. I think she's doing well. I wish her lots of luck with her baby and I'm sure she will be a great mother!

does anyone even care these days that you shouldnt have kids unless you are married and know that you can be the best for the child! Its like the world is going to hell in a hand basket! She is 16 for Gods sake! And I realize that other people have gotten pregnant at a young age too and its not right to single her out, but she is a role model to kids!!

omg! i would never have exspected this. but she seems much more responsable than her silly sister and so i think she can deal with this. wait i red somewhere it was yesterday, that she became pregnant. that was a total lie! because in her interview she said she waited 2 weeks. so it was obviously in november. i wish her good luck though.

So she's reportedly not on birth control, but if the two were using condoms, they would know if it broke (it is very obvious) and the mature and appropriate way to handle that is to get Plan B (aka the "morning after pill") There is no excuse for not getting it. It is very easy to get, through a clinic, health care provider, or pharmacy. So it could have been kept a secret from their families if they wanted to. He is over 18, so he could have easily purchased it if she didn't want to tell her doctor. End of story. It could have been avoided, even if they were trying to be careful. I know, because I have been in the situation where a condom has broken -- and I acted responsibly. If they truly weren't using any form of contraceptive, then I feel absolutely terrible for her baby, if he/she makes it through the entire pregnancy, because I think everyone knows it will not be born into a good environment. Though I do not think its wrong of her to be sexually active at her age. I was, even before that age, but I was always very careful, mature, and responsible about it.

I think Jamie will be a great Mum just as long as she doesn't let her Mum become a pushy grandparent like she's been a pushy mother.

why do people have to wait till they're Married before having a baby? someone might not get married till they're in their 40's by then it might be too late for them to get pregnant.
you can be a good mum at any age!

i can't believe jamie is pregnant @ age 16. I loved my kids to watch the show zoey 101. BUT NOT ANY MORE! You don't get pregnant before your not married.
(thats what I think). That is not cool to have a baby when your 16 and have a tv show for kids. Those children look up to her!! I am REALLY ashamed of her.

im sorry but reading all of these comments has really pissed me off. i know america is a different place but in england u can legally have sex at 16. all u people talking about no having sex til ur married thats ballocks, there was a poll taken with over 50 million people in it and 92% said marriage meant nothing really anymore (a pieace of paper) one of my best freinds mum was left alone to look after her baby ( my friend) and wen she meet her new partner they decided not to get married becoz they both have the same last name does that mean they cnt have sex anymore, NO!!!. anyway i watch zoey 101 all the time i read things about her on the internet all they time i love jamie and i wish her the best of luck. i cnt wait to see her beautiful baby. all u people calling her a slut, slag and a dumb arse.
