You people need to just leave Jamie & Brittany alone, stuff like this happens to normal, non-celebrity teenagers all the time, just because they're celebrities does not mean that we can constantly pick on them & say all this trash about them when we're not even sure whether or not it's true. People need to just give the Spears family a break, let them live their life without constantly being criticized. GET OVER IT!!! She 16, it's not like you never made any stupid decisions when you were 16, we're all people, we all make mistakes, that's life, we weren't ment to be perfect

The only reason this is a big deal is because she is in the public eye. I am a social worker in the child welfare system and work with teenage kids on a daily basis. Parents do not want to believe it but kids are having sex as early as 10 years of age. It is not uncommon to hear that a 16 year old is pregnant. Sad thing to say is that it is almost becoming acceptable. Instead of everyone trashing Jamie, we should use this to educate our teens about the importance of birth control. I hate that it happen to her so young, but I am proud that she is accepting responsibility for her actions. She could have easliy gotten rid of the "problem" and continued to protray the inoccent child star the public wants her to be. It was a lose, lose situation for her, regardless of what she would have done, she would have been trashed by the public (as now) or by pro-life advocates.

I was a teen mother at 16 also. I put myself in that position. It is her choice to have it or not. As for the guy, i know in Ohio you have sex with a minor your butt is in jail and on a sexual predator list. Loving each other has nothin to do with sex with a minor.

Wow...idk if this is right or wrong, but i dont think that it is right for everyone to get in there business...millions of girls are PG at 16 but all of a sudden one girl out of millions does and everyone makes a huge deal about it. Let her live her life. This is coming from a 15 year old i am not even 16 yet....We all have done stuff we regret and unless you are the virgin Marry you all have either kissed a guy or more and you shouldnt be judging one girl for one mistake.

I think whatever happens to Jamie Lynn is her business, it was her choice to sleep with the guy and now she's facing the consequences, that is her problem. She's not the first and the last teenage girl to get pregnant, I mean right now a teenage girl is getting pregnant. And atleast she is keeping her child and not going off to have some secret abortion and pretending nothing ever happened. She is being responsible and cooperative about it and I think that is good.
As for her show, I do think it should be canceled because it would be a bad influence for kids, besides that I think every one should just but out

I don't need the president to pass laws teaching my children about sex. That is my job. I'm not going to pass judgement on a sixteen year old when I had my first child at 18. I wouldn't change anything. My children are everything. No I'm not a slut, or whore. I'm human, as is Jamie Lynn. As for the rape thing. Guys how many of you had sex at 19 with someone a few years younger? Bet most of you wouldn't even admit it. Maybe all of the other judgemental people on here should turn the tv off and spend quality time with their kids. Maybe then your child would think of you as a role model and not some teen on television. Oh and if you should become a role model, don't make a mistake...I would hate for you to be judged so harshly. I mean that is what your doing to this girl. You only have yourself to blame if your kids follow in Jamie Lynns steps. Maybe you should find something else for your child to do instead of allowing the tv to babysit, or teach or child.

Who are we to judge? I am a 16 y.o. Who is pregnant with my 1st child. I also am just shy of enterin my 2nd trimester. i am not a skank or a whore. i made a mistake. i am on honor role drama teen court high gpa. just because a teen makes a mistake does not mean blame mom or sister. i have a younger sister who might make the same mistake but it does not mean she is following my example. we are no one to judge what is right for her. only she can make that choice. i dont tell you how to raise your kid you dont tell me how to raise mine. at least the father is doing what needs to be done. i say good for her with what ever she decides to do. i support her!

I thought Jamie was a sensible girl i'm not saying she still isn't but it's a massive shock for the whole world that she's pregnant and is going to keep it. Im sure 16 is better then 13 because on BBC3 on I think it was last thrusday a girl called Kizzy got pregnant at 13 and had her baby at 14 and kept it. And if a 14 year old can with her parents behind her 100% then im sure Jamie can because she has an incredible boyfriend that's willing to stay around for both Jamie and the baby. And her parents are there 100%. i expect most people of the world think the idea came from Britney maybe so but Jamie and Casey are willing to look after there baby with their family right behind them so.
