hey ther every1.jamie and her sister were my biggest role modles..i loved everything they did.im 16 too and today a friend of mine told me about jamies pregnancy.its wrong.i wouldnt wan2 hav a baby at this age.i cant even make most of my decisions on my own.and yes it is our business what she does becoz she most of our role modles,we look up to these people, its not ok for a 16 year old to get pregnant.soo for all of u who hav got pregnant wen u were 16 or 17.start accepting ur mistakes and be better role modles.besides a new study shows that a part of our brain that deals with making judgements develops only after the age of 19.so till thn our parents need to make most of our decisions!!

Basically she turned 16 in April, so if there were proof that hanky panky was going on before her birthday he's in trouble.

All I have to say about this is they keep saying what a stand up guy this Casey is, well if he were such a stand up guy, why did he get Jamie pregnant at age 16. The both of them go to church and should know that it's not a good idea to be there ages and get pregnant, not to mention it's something you do after your married, and I don't know that he will marry her. It seems to be that most people in Hollywood think it's just great to go and have a baby before marriage, I think it's irresponsible, and shows a lack of commitment. Then there's the factor of how to explain to that child someday why it's not ok to do what you've already done. I am however glad that she's not going to abort it, because the baby shouldn't have to suffer for her mistakes. But this Casey in my mind isn't stand up at all, and the two of them are totally irresponsible. It's as much his fault as it is hers, Jamie didn't do this all by herself. I hope the heck they have both learned, just because your famous

I think she should let her sister raise the child, she doesn't have kids anymore and she waited until she was 18 before she became a whoring slut!

Jamie made a mistake. Lots of people do. And birth control doesn't always work, so it's possible that something went wrong. That definitely doesn't make it right, and I believe she should have waited, but maybe she can try and bring some good out of it and become an abstinence advocate or something. Also, in Louisiana (their home state, which I THINK is where they live), it is considered felony-level statutory rape if she consents (and is under 17) and he is over 19. So technically, it is statutory rape, whether or not it is charged is another question.

You must live in California, no offense to the rest of you with morals. Sex education begins at home, if my kids end up pregnant, I am to blame for not teaching morals and sex education. It's not the schools problem they have enough to do, and it is certainly not the Presidents fault, he has enough to worry about other than your child's sex life. I guess it's easier to blame the President than being a responsible parent.

Nice strawman arguments! Unfortunately, this IS partly President Bush's fault that teenage pregnancies are going up every since his 'abstinence only' law went through. See where that gets us?
As far as those folks stating 'this happens all the time', This does NOT happen all the time to TV child stars. Well, not to the ones that are NOT ON DRUGS AND STILL WORKING. What a shame.

I agree with John. According to some of these morons, Bush is to blame for the sky being too blue or the ocean too wet, talk about displaced blame. Who ever blames him for Jamie Lynn's situation must think like those idiot celebrities that believe they know more than the working class American because they can memorize lines for a living.

Tbh its her choice but at the same time it is a real shock! I suppose she would be able to take care of the child and its not like she wont get support i mean it wont break the bank if she gets a nanny. But still shes sixteen theres no garantee they will stay together forever but its debatable. But a real shock mind.

FINALLY!!!!!! someone has said it! i couldnt agree more with Dana. I had a friend who got pregnant at the age of 17. She was the homecoming queen of our school, voted friendliest by her peers, went to church every sunday, and had a boyfriend for 4 years. After 3 years they began having sex and one night the condom broke causing her to become pregnant. Knowing the pregnancy in some way would ruin her reputation, she had the baby anyways. Throughout her pregnancy, people begged and pleaded to her to get an abortion and told her that she in no way would make it through this pregnancy. but she ignored all the negativity and went through it anyways. The point im trying to make here is just because the way Brittney is doesnt mean that Jaimie is the same. so leave the girl alone.

give the girl a break. she was with the guy for 2 1/2 years. It wasnt like she was going around sleeping with every guy she could. It was with her boyfriend. Im sure half of you on here bitching about what a slut and disappointment she is had sex around the age is now. If anything we should be supporting her decision. She could have taken the easy way out and gotten an abortion like most teens do due to the fear of rejection and what others may think of them. but she decided to keep this baby knowing that it could, in fact, ruin her career. Im not saying that i do think its totally ok to have a baby at 16, but im just saying instead of bitching about how irresponsible she is and blah blah blah, we should be supporting her. Letting her know that these next few months are going to be tough but that were here for support and we believe she can make it. so lay off the girls back! shes already had enough to deal with.
