Hey Dave, totally depends on what state you are in. In Florida, 16 is the age of consent, and its completely legal as long as the 16 year old isn't with someone over 24. In other states, it depends on whether or not the parents press charges, as its consentual and not rape. Mama spears has said that they are shocked but happy, so, I'm assuming its totally okay with them. I think people should be a little more concerned about the images that some of Hollywood's youth are portraying to our kids... Its totally okay for a 16 year old to be sleeping around, its okay to be pregnant at 16. She isn't even old enough to be done with high school! She believes she's mature enough to decide its time to have a baby!? Who are we telling our kids its okay to look up to?
