wow...I really thougt that she was going to be the one to step up for the family, but she went and did something completly irresponsable.
And the mother, britney was older when she got whorse but letting jamie lynn do something like that. I'm completly stuned.

Well, I don't agree that a 16 old girl is able to do stuff MAMAS do. She is JUST A GIRL. I dont understand how they start to have sex without knowing the consecuenses.
They dont think first and then act. they just let emotions act.
But that already happen, they just have to deal with it!,,
Hope she's lucky and her BF takes all resposability.

first Vanessa Anne Hudgens, now Jamie Lynn. it seems common for teens of children shows to do stuff like that. I mean, sure, they are teenagers and they are free to do whatever, but when you are responsable to be a role model for six and seven year old girls, why the heck would you ruin it and do something irresponsable? it ruins both the children and the celebrities

First: She has a steady boyfriend, she is not sleeping around, this would disqualify the slut comment.
Second: Lots of teenagers have sex, it is a fact, Nickalodian would do best to use this as an educational opportunity on safety, rather than shun her. If it is treated as taboo, teens are not going to ask for advice on the topic, and guess what that leads to uneducated teens having sex and having babies.
Third: She used poor judgement, but so did he, so have I, and so has everyone else. I would like to meet the person who has not had poor judgement. This does not mean she is going to turn into her sister, this does not make her a horrible person.
Fourth and Final: Mistake is a very loaded word. The pregnancy was not planned, but would you like someone calling your future child a mistake? Fifteen years from now what is said about this will be available for this child to read, do you really want to mess up this child before it is even born?

EVERYONE needs to LEAVE then ALONE many 16 year old girls are getting pregnant everyday and no one does anything about it now that a star is pregnant everyone is calling her names and i believe if people think it's so bad instead of getting all into Jamie Lynn's business parents need to talk to their children because children are having sex younger and younger every year. it's not Jamie Lynn's fault that young girls everywhere are becoming pregnant it was happening long before she told everyone and it will keep happening long after she has her baby. I believe that its great that her boyfriend is standing by her through all this because so many boys run the other way when they're girlfriends become pregnant....I WISH BOTH JAMIE LYNN AND CASEY ALL THE BEST OF LUCK AND CONGRATS!!

While I was just as shocked as everyone else, and a little disappointed, some of these comments are so harsh!! over 50% of teenagers lose their virginity before leaving high school. And for her to be in a long term relationship... is it really that far of a leap to think that MAYBE they could've been having sex? It's not like she's been published sleeping around or anything so it's a little inaccurate to be calling her a slut.
And how did this board get into her room to know whether or not they were dumb enough to not use a condom? Birth control is not 100% effective. Maybe they did use protection. Maybe it broke. Maybe she was on the pill. But we weren't there to know for sure and I don't think anyone here knows if she has any prescriptions or not. So I think it's a little harsh to be calling her an idiot without knowing all the facts.
Will this damage her career? Most likely. Was this their plans? Not likely. Is it a good example to be setting? Not at all. But it happened and and at least she's owning up to her "mistakes" and acting more responsible than some *ahem* sisters out there. Now I wonder how much trouble their older brother has gotten into and if Lynne Spears can learn how to help those girls.

First....at least she owned up to the fact that she is pregnant and didn't go and get an abortion as so many teens do these days.
Second...I honestly do not think this will totally ruin her career...with Nickelodeon ..maybe but not everywhere else
Third...I know that it is hard to deal with ridicule and that those posting saying that she a slut or whore needs to reevaluate what they say because those who generally cast the first stones are generally guilty of the same error in judgement.
Fourth.. Congrats on the baby Jamie please take care of it and be a good mother

no, jaime is not a slut or a whore, shes not having permiscuous sex with different partners, but yes, she acted inresponsibly and now as she definitley knows, she is going to have to come out and face all the consequences that come with her actions. Mostly, i blame her horrible role model, and older sister britney. Britney has most likley influenced her greatly, and therefore shes following in her footsteps ...but still that is not an excuse to not use protection.

to the parents who are mad b/c Jaime Lynn wont make a "good role model" anymore, I got news for ya- your kids are impressionable and f##kin stupid if theyre gonna behave exactly like Jaime Lynn and get pregnant. Worry about your own kids cuz them growing up actually it has alot to do with the PARENTS and NOT a celebrity. ohh ya ever thought of that? so shutup shes only human.

While I am extremely disappointed by Jaime Lynn's situation, I do not think she has ever been or should have been considered a "role model". She is an ACTRESS. Look at Vanessa Hudgens, who is also an ACTRESS but thankfully for her, she has not sentenced herself to a life altering event--just extreme embarassment. These are teenagers, who parents should never encourage their children to look up to or attemt to imitate in any way or fashion--b/c the way you see them on TV are simply lines written for them, not how they really are. Do not expect these kids to be any different or above other children that your own kids go to school with. Everyone makes mistakes and bad decisions. The absolute best thing that can come from this situation is a good lesson to teenagers and their naive, blind parents--including Jaime Lynn's mother, who has proven herself to be oblivious to her children. I believe she can make the best of this situation if she takes control of her own life and finds a way to use this situation to help warn other teenagers about the importance of safe sex. I wish her the best and hope her mother will finally wake up and ACT like a mother.

i understand that these things happen, but come on... you live life in the fast lane being in the public eye and being exposed to all these things at any early age. you can't honestly say she doesn't know about the consquences of sex and what was probably going to happen, hello look at your sister and there is a prime example. your mother should be ashamed of herself for not having taught you these things and that there are consequences to your actions. and to think she has the adacity to write a parenting book. good for you jamie for taking responsibilty and to casey also. if casey is smart he won't let your mother be a part of raising this child, obviously she is only concerned about her self and not her childrens interests or they wouldn't be so messed up. make sure you read the what to expect books they are a great reference.

I don't normally comment on these types of things, but since Jamie Lynn is drawing so much attention, I thought I'd jump in and write something as well.
First of all, let me say that no one but God has the right to judge. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but no one has the right to judge. If you are going to judge, be careful what you say, and at least keep it to yourself.
Second, everyone makes mistakes. No one single person who has ever walked this earth (except for Jesus Christ) has been perfect. Now, granted, this particular mistake was not the best one to make, but still, mistakes are mistakes. There are two ways to handle mistakes: 1.) take responsibility and take the situation head on, to the best of your ability, or 2.) avoid it and let it run out of control. Jamie Lynn has taken responsibility for her actions, unlike what most 16 year olds would do.
Third, who is to say that God will not let his blessings fall on Jamie Lynn and her child? This child deserves a great life, just as most of us have lived. God's ultimate plan is the best plan, and obviously, his plan included this "unplanned" pregnancy. Yes, to us, it was all unplanned, but for God, he knew it was coming, and knows how to handle to situation. If Jamie Lynn will only lift her eyes to the Lord, she'll be able to handle this all so much better; and who's to say she hasn't already?
Fourth, please, stop shooting horrible remarks towards Mrs. Spears. Yes, to us, it may seem as if she's done a poor job of being a mother, but again, everyone makes mistakes. Mrs. Spears has had a rough life, and it may be beginning to show through her children. But, she, too, has taken responsibility for most of her actions. Not once has she not been behind her children 100%.
Finally, let's just wait and see what happens. Instead of jumping in and blaming people and shooting out slurrs to the Spears family, pray for them. Pray that God will show them some guidance in their struggles. He ultimately knows exactly how to handle all of this, and is more than willing to help the Spears'.

ok everyone you all need to stop tlking trash on Jamie Lynn i have always looked at her as a role model and i still do now. who cares if she is pregnate yea she may get fired from Zoey 101 and obviously they will stop filming it oh well its her life, not ours. so who ever the hell wants to tlk trash on her go a head but surely if u were in the position she is in you would definately not want ppl looking at u as a non-rolemodel and now that she will have a child she will be more expierienced and NEVER compare her to Britney i've heard everything about Britney and Jamie Lynn will never be like that
