Jamie Lynn Spears' Parents Heart Casey Aldridge
Daddy-to-be Casey Aldridge has been close to the Spears family for some time, as both a hometown boy dating the youngest Spears daughter, and acting as a buffer between the teenage actress and the pressures of Hollywood.
"He took amazing care of Jamie Lynn," a source close to the Spears family tells People. "Anything ever went wrong, he always comforted her. He took care of her."
Jamie Lynn Spears and her mother, Lynne Spears, say that Casey Aldridge is the father of the baby the 16-year-old announced she is pregnant with.
Casey Aldridge is believed to be either 18 or 19 and has stayed out of the Hollywood spotlight, only occasionally accompanying Jamie Lynn to events.
He grew up in Liberty, Miss., about 30 miles from the Spears family home base in Kentwood, La., and played high school baseball and football (Aldridge is listed in a sports directory as a lean six-foot-one, and 165 pounds).
Recently, he has been living in Southern California and was a fixture at the condo where Jamie Lynn was staying while filming her Nickelodeon series Zoey 101.
Jamie Lynn Spears' parents love Casey Aldridge, even though he got her pregnant.
In California, Casey Aldridge drove her to the set every day and stayed while she worked, impressing both Lynne Spears and Jamie Lynn's father, Jaime Spears.
"Jaime always talks about how he really likes Casey because he's a great guy," the Spears family source says. "Lynne really likes him, too. He's a good kid, cares a lot about Jamie Lynn. They both adore Casey."
The pregnancy, a source close to Casey Aldridge says, was a surprise.
"I'm sure it was a shock to him," the source says. "He has all sorts of plans for his future. He wants to start his own business, maybe get a degree and make something of himself."
Casey Aldridge will also take responsibility for his actions.
"He's a stand-up guy, and he will take care of the baby," the source says. "He is not the type to let her deal with it on her own. He will be there in any way he can for Jamie Lynn... I know a baby wasn't in his plans for right now, but he'll do what he has to do, and he'll be a good father. He really will."

Having a child at 16 used to be the way that things went. it was a lifestyle, no matter how immature the girl was. Mothers always find ways of dealing with the pressures of being mom, some just choose the wrong way. I'm sure Jamie Lynn will do better than her sister, she's wittnessed all the bull that brit so gracefully portrayed. she'll be okay.

ok everyone you all need to stop tlking trash on Jamie Lynn i have always looked at her as a role model and i still do now. who cares if she is pregnate yea she may get fired from Zoey 101 and obviously they will stop filming it oh well its her life, not ours. so who ever the hell wants to tlk trash on her go a head but surely if u were in the position she is in you would definately not want ppl looking at u as a non-rolemodel and now that she will have a child she will be more expierienced and NEVER compare her to Britney i've heard everything about Britney and Jamie Lynn will never be like that

I feel like she's taking advantage of the situation she's in. She maybe a slut bucket but u still need to deal with the things she does with her life. She ain't as innocent as she seemed. Good luck!

I don't normally comment on these types of things, but since Jamie Lynn is drawing so much attention, I thought I'd jump in and write something as well.
First of all, let me say that no one but God has the right to judge. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but no one has the right to judge. If you are going to judge, be careful what you say, and at least keep it to yourself.
Second, everyone makes mistakes. No one single person who has ever walked this earth (except for Jesus Christ) has been perfect. Now, granted, this particular mistake was not the best one to make, but still, mistakes are mistakes. There are two ways to handle mistakes: 1.) take responsibility and take the situation head on, to the best of your ability, or 2.) avoid it and let it run out of control. Jamie Lynn has taken responsibility for her actions, unlike what most 16 year olds would do.
Third, who is to say that God will not let his blessings fall on Jamie Lynn and her child?

They shouldn't be expected to be rule models, that's not their job.
