Britney Spears' 16-year-old sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, is pregnant. According to many celebrity news sources, the father is some dude named Casey Aldridge.
Reps for Jamie Lynn Spears, star of the recently canned Nickelodeon show Zoey 101, were not available for comment. But Nickelodeon said in a statement:
"We respect Jamie Lynn Spears' decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."

Jamie Lynn Spears has been recently dating - and apparently doing, without using protection - 19-year-old Mississippi native Casey Aldridge. She has been spending most of her time with her mom, Lynne Spears, in their hometown of Kentwood, La.
Britney Spears, who is twice divorced and who was pregnant with Sean Preston at 23 and Jayden James at 24, is a terrific role model residing in Los Angeles.
Wow. Just wow. Who would have guessed the National Enquirer was so prescient when it made up this same story and proclaimed Jamie Lynn Spears pregnant back in July!
Guess the apple really doesn't fall far from the trashy, fertile tree.

If highschool kids can get pregnant, why cant famous highschool kids get pregnant??
If Jamie really is pregnant, Im sure she'd be a great mom. And the dad wood prolly b good, too. PLUS, shes not Britney, shes JAMIE!! So, who cares if she's bald. She likes attention, SO WHAT!

I think this is sad, she's only 16, but I have a lot of respect for the fact that she is going to have this baby. She needs to just hang in there and stay strong.

She isn't here sister and hopefully will not go down the path her sister did.

plenty of young teens are having sex. they are not labeled as trashy whores. the only ones labeled are the ones that end up pregnant. aka the ones that get caught. does that sound reasonable to you? just the fact that she's owning up to her actions says alot about her. she is taking responsibility for her actions and risking her career and future to have this baby. so no i wouldnt call jamie lynne a cheap whore. i'd say shes your average teen who just had a bad judgement call and didnt use contraceptives. or perhaps she did and they didnt work. we will never know. but give the girl some credit for taking responsibility for herself. shes going to have it rough enough, being a teen mom. don't try to tear her apart or place blame for what happened. it wont change the fact of her having a child. i wish her and her family all the best with this baby and themselves.
