Britney Spears is "sort of our new Michael Jackson," says Drew Pinsky (a.k.a. Dr. Drew) in an interview with Us Weekly. The sex, mental health and drug addiction expert talks about the traumas in Britney's past â€" and how they may explain the precipitous mental decline happening before our eyes. Excerpts below ...

US: What in Britney Spears' childhood led her to where she is now?
Dr. Drew: It's how her father (Jamie Spears) treated her, it's the divorce (of her parents, and of herself and two husbands) and it's the genetics.

US: What about the fact that she became a star at such a young age?
Dr. Drew: Her mental health has almost nothing to do with her career. But fame hinders getting to her now. It is hard to get through those who are enabling her (Sam Lutfi, Alli Sims) and find the people willing to potentially sacrifice either a salary or access to her (Larry Rudolph) by bringing her into treatment. That is what is putting her in danger. That is what killed Anna Nicole Smith.

Britney is bonkers, but not beyond help, says Dr. Drew.

US: What about the effects from Britney Spears being sexually active from age 14, dressing provocatively, losing her virginity (to Reg Jones), and yet at the same time maintaining this image of purity and virginity?
Dr. Drew: I have seen many cases of young girls who have been prematurely sexualized in one fashion or another who try to recapture their virginity. They claim that the abuse doesn't count. I see that quite a bit.

US: What can be done for Britney Spears? Is she permanently damaged?
Dr. Drew: She is not an untreatable situation, but she needs to go away and drop out of sight and focus on sobriety for at least nine months.

US: Can she leave her kids?
Dr. Drew: [Sean Preston and Jayden James] can be brought into the process. But, for at least 30 days, she is going to be mostly away from them. Then, for six months, she can be in an intensive environment. It's going to take a long time.

Now that Sophie Anderton has been caught on camera offering to trade penetration of her vagina for $20,000, the British model is afraid that her career may be in danger.

And for good reason: in the days since the scandal broke, Sophie has lost a $200,000 contract with Fake Bake.

Meanwhile, London's The Daily Mail reports that Anderton doesn't want to go to rehab because she can't afford it.

"Sophie is planning to go and stay with her mother for the moment. She's not convinced rehab is the best course of action," a source said. "She has said that she would rather save the money she would spend on rehab for her home and future, but pals think that they can change her mind."

They probably can. All it would take is a wad of cash and cocaine.

With so much entertainment news to report on - from Kyla Ebbert getting naked to DeAnna Pappas getting rejected - we've combined a pair of celebrity baby announcements into one post:

First, congratulations are in order for Scott Baio and his fiancee Renee Sloane. The pair received an early Christmas present when the baby that was expected in December popped out on November 2.

The healthy baby girl reportedly weighed in at five pounds, ten ounces.

Also, it appears as though a Sex and the City star has been having intercourse in real life: Chris Noth is expecting a child with girlfriend Tara Wilson.

While Noth is busy filming the Sex and the City movie, he did report that the upcoming baby will be a boy. Let's hope he finds his own Carrie Bradshaw one day!

Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace were born on November 8 to actor Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberly.

But the happy occasion has turned tragic for the couple, following a grave mistake by hospital staff: the twins were accidentally given a major dose of the anti-coagulant heparin and are currently struggling to survive.

According to People magazine, the actor's rep, Cara Tripicchio, released the following statement: "Dennis and Kimberly appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers and hope they can maintain their privacy at this difficult time."

The babies are currently in stable condition in the neo-natal intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The hospital did not directly comment on the Quaid twins, but it did say on Sunday that a "preventable error" occurred with three unidentified patients receiving heparin.

"I want to extend my deepest apologies to the families who were affected by this situation, and we will continue to work with them on any concerns or questions they may have," said Dr. Michael L. Langberg, chief medical officer at Cedars.

He added: "This was a preventable error, involving a failure to follow our standard policies and procedures, and there is no excuse for that to occur at Cedars-Sinai. Although it appears at this point that there was no harm to any patient, we take this situation very seriously."

GQ: When will you become the latest screwed-up girl in Hollywood?
Hayden Panettiere: Never, never. Cross our fingers.

GQ: We can't schedule it for your 21st birthday or anything?
Hayden Panettiere: You can't schedule rehab for me. And I don't think you can schedule any DUIs. I think I'm going to be one of those boring girls.

GQ: Will you at least go into a gas-station bathroom without shoes on?
Hayden Panettiere: No, that's disgusting. I've walked around other places maybe without my shoes on, but not bathrooms.

GQ: Tell us about your couple of years, since Heroes began.
Hayden Panettiere: This business turns life upside down. For some strange reason, I've become one of the targets of the paparazzi. Things get crazy.

GQ: It seems that we're pushing these young women toward meltdowns.
Hayden Panettiere: Absolutely. Britney Spears, for example. That girl was the epitome of beauty when I was younger. And we built her up and just ripped her down, put every aspect of her life under a microscope. Probably made 90 percent of the stuff up along the way. I can't even imagine if I had it like she does.

GQ: Well, things are much better for you. You're on a hit TV show. When are you going to ask NBC for the really big bucks?
Hayden Panettiere: Riiiight? I don't know! I wanna ask. We'll see.

GQ: Look, you're the biggest star on NBC. You need a million an episode.
Hayden Panettiere: I would feel bad if I got a million an episode.

GQ: It worked for the Friends, you know.
Hayden Panettiere: Dude, they got Porsches. We got a poker set!

GQ: What's the craziest rumor you've read about yourself?
Hayden Panettiere: Well, now that I'm single, it's like I'm dating every male I'm standing next to â€" and possibly every female.

GQ: You had to figure the lesbian rumor was coming.
Hayden Panettiere: Actually, that is pretty funny.

GQ: If someone were to put you together with a leading man, who would it be?
Hayden Panettiere: It could be anyone - Leo DiCaprio to Justin Timberlake - or any girl. You want to make me a lesbian? That's totally fine with me.

GQ: Okay. Well, who would be good?
Hayden Panettiere: Umm, let's see. We could do a love affair with Angelina Jolie. We could do... Oh gosh, there are so many beautiful girls out there. Charlize Theron. Oh, my God. Kate Beckinsale is gorgeous. Jessica Alba!

GQ: And you're not dating your Heroes costar Milo Ventimiglia, which is the celebrity gossip that's flying around most frequently about you?
Hayden Panettiere: No, I'm not. I love my castmates, and I adore Milo Ventimiglia. He's awesome, but we're easy targets. We're both young, and he's one of the only people on the show not married with children.

The Hollywood Gossip has been blowing up with people weighing in on Brad Womack and his shocking no-decision on the season finale of The Bachelor.

Last night, Brad faced the music in the form of both Jenni Croft and DeAnna Pappas, as well as all of America, to answer questions on his inactions.

Despite feeling "misled" by Brad Womack, Jenni Croft said she's disappointed in how Womack did the same to DeAnna Pappas, especially giving her a ray of hope just as he dropped the "but" and broker her heart. Nice one, Brad.

Jenni Croft says Brad should have given someone a chance, even in the form of dating. DeAnna Pappas still seems confused, angry... and into Womack.

Brad Womack then arrives to a mix of applause and boos. He says that he made his decision because he didn't want to make false promises to the girls.

We learn that Brad actually asked the network fly DeAnna Pappas' father out for the final ceremony, so Brad could ask for her hand in marriage - but his gut told him something was wrong when he went to buy the ring!

Jenni Croft rips Brad Womack for not at least giving either woman a chance and he says it "hurts deeply" to have Jenni lose respect for him.

Brad says to DeAnna that he thinks about her every single day, and it sounds like maybe he might be going to throw us for yet another loop by taking her back!

DeAnna hints that she would accept such a chance... and Womack replies that he's "very confident" in his decision, crushing her once again.

DeAnna Pappas can't hold back and cries to Womack, telling him that "[You're] the one person that I trusted most out of all of this, and you broke my heart."

Brad Womack's response: "I thought I was taking the high road." But was he?

Dr. Jan Adams, the Los Angeles plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye West's mother, Donda West, one day before she passed away, has kind of broken his silence and spoken to People about the events surrounding West's death.

The full interview with Jan Adams can be found in the latest issue of the magazine, which hits newsstands Friday. Only excerpts are available now.

Although he refused to speak on the actual cause of death "out of respect" for her, Adams denies that the surgery on Donda West was rushed.

"I find that offensive and sort of unfair," says Adams, who had a warrant out for his arrest before showing up in court for another unrelated case last week. "I'm thorough and I do my job well."

Several people might take issue with that statement. But as for his LONG, LONG list of legal problems and malpractice suits, Adams seems unworried.

"When people say 'plastic surgery' they think of me," he says. "These suits don't represent bad plastic surgery, but a bad decision in terms of choice of patient."

Does that when we think of bad driving, and think of Britney Spears, it doesn't mean bad driving, but rather a bad decision in terms of choice of driver?

In any case, Adams was also supposed to appear on Larry King Live this week but bailed at the last second at the urging of the West family, TMZ reports.

Jan Adams appeared after the show's first commercial break, at which point he politely told King he would not speak: "I came to talk about things in the press that aren't accurate about me. But I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for the West family and they've asked me not to go on."

Later, Alan Tenenbaum, an attorney for Dr. Adams, explained that he received a letter from attorneys representing the West family, asking him not to appear.
