Helio Castroneves Wins Dancing with the Stars

by at . Comments

After Marie Osmond was rightfully eliminated first on the Dancing with the Stars results show last night, it came down to the two celebrities who have been favored all season long.

And while many felt as though Melanie Brown was the best pure dancer (probably because she does that for a living!), race car driver Helio Castroneves took the checkered flag in the end.

"It feels totally different from winning a race," Castroneves said after the show, as he celebrated with partner Julianne Hough. "I wasn't kidding. This goes right between my two Indy trophies. Otherwise, it would have been a big blank space."

Congratulations to Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough for winning this season's Dancing with the Stars.

Other highlights on the show last night included a return by Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas, as well as a shirtless Cameron Mathison. Yum.

I was sooooooooooooo glad they won. I didn't want Mel to win because she acted all along that she had it "in the bag". Julianne and Helio make such a cute couple. I hope they become an item!

I very happy for Helio and Julianne, they're were my favorite stars. I was very upset becuase I couldn't vote for them because everytime I tried to vote I received a busy signal on my cell phone-- the line always busy even after the show. but I am very exciting about the results, I am sure they deserve it. Congratulations guys..................

What was going on with the fan vote on Dancing with the Stars? My daughter tried to vote Monday November 26 and was told Marie's server was down. My mother tried to vote and got nothing but a busy signal and when I called in on my phone, I was told I had already voted. Did Dancing with the Stars really shut down the voting so Marie's fans couldn't vote?

I am not the best dancer, and I have not been the best dancer from the beginning. I am happy we made it this far.
