The most talked-about ankle in L.A. seems to be on the mend, David Beckham revealed on his official blog. And it was enough for the star to suit up for the L.A. Galaxy's game against Red Bull New York last night. Yesssss!

We have to say, David Beckham is looking downright hot on his website. While he definitely uses way too much hair product, we do our best to look past it for this level of hunkiness. Damn, what a sexy beast.

"After spending the past few weeks working hard on my fitness you'll be glad to hear I now feel ready to play," Beckham wrote prior to the game. "I'm not match fit yet, but I hope to get on and play a little, which will help my fitness."

Beckham entered the game as a substitute in the 68th minute with the score tied, drawing a huge cheer from the announced crowd of 27,000.

He took five corner kicks in 22 minutes, but the Galaxy couldn't score. a bit distracted by the large breasts of Victoria Beckham, perhaps?

Or the cuteness of Cruz Beckham? We will never know. But it's great to see the stud muffin back in the lineup. The sport missed him so much.
