Whoopi Goldberg may have some controversial shoes to fill, but the new cohost of ABC's The View says she has a more relaxed approach to hosting than her predecessors.

"I disagree with a lot of stuff a lot of people say, but there is a dialogue to have with people that I was taught by my mom â" how to be respectful and listen," Goldberg said during an interview on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show on Monday that People reported.
"You can get loud and move on after you are finished with it, that is how I work," she added. "I have a different approach. I stir the pot just by my presence."
And Elisabeth Hasselbeck stirs the pot any time she opens her mouth.
Goldberg says she maintains a good attitude because she's generally a happy person. Seems simple enough.
"It's not so much that I am nice. but I have a great life and I have no reason to be angry at anybody."
As for why she was chosen over all the other candidates to fill one of the vacant seats, Goldberg said: "I don't have a clue, Ryan. I don't know child, why? I'm black, I don't know. I've done the show a lot of times and I probably looked like I could use the gig."

To Whoopi
I watched this show when it first started and really liked it, but then it got to be ridiculous. I would love to watch again, but to watch a bunch of women trying to talk over each other is not my idea of a good show. No wonder they never won anything.
Elisabeth should go, the rest of the cast that was way too full of themselves, left and now it is her turn. Joy is cool, you are intelligent and wise beyond your years, Barb is a snob, but she knows how to have an intelligent conversation. Good Luck Whoopi.

I understand and appreciate different "views" of the world, but to put an angry black woman on the show (Whoopi) who defends African American's in trougle with the law (Vick, OJ) just because they are black, and begins to argue with Barbara about "the english couple is only gettin all this press because they are white" is disgusting. I never knew Whoopi was a racist against caucasians. I bet Barbara wishes she had Rosie back.

I don't know why everything Whoppi sas as a humorous statement is so cut down when Elizabeth Interupts and throws her childish and ignorant comments in all the time and thinks her views have merit.. She should go. WHOOPI IS GREAT
