Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt aren't about to let Lauren Conrad tell her side of their ongoing feud without retaliating with a vengeance.
After a weekend website posting by Pratt, followed by bitter comments from Heidi Montag Monday in an interview with Philadelphia's Q102, the duo were back on attack this week as guests on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show in L.A.
Asked how they felt about last week's story in Us Weekly, in which Lauren Conrad and her fellow cast members paint reality TV's most talked-about couple as a pair of pathetic backstabbers who "use" people for attention, Montag retorted:
"We didn't start it... I was shocked when I read that. We were living our lives, doing our own things. Lauren is the last thing on my mind ... and then this comes out?"
Spencer, who is looking more and more like an acne-riddled, blonde Ken Doll every day, took the opportunity to further expand on this, telling Ryan Seacrest:
"All we've been worrying about is Heidi's music... we were totally at peace with LC... all of a sudden, my grandma calls me almost crying, 'Go get Us Magazine Spencer, it's terrible.' It's six pages of just hating on us."
T.H. GOSSIP NOTE: Something about the image Spencer Pratt getting a tearful phone call from his grandmother strikes us as laughable... or a complete lie.
Never mind the fact that Us Weekly will print and make a huge frickin' deal out of everything Spencer Pratt says or does, giving him the publicity he craves so hard. Not that we don't. But it's like he's biting the hand that feeds his (D-list) celebrity. So to speak.
After dishing on the drama, the always media conscious Montag and Pratt had to remind listeners: it's all going to play out when Season 3 of The Hills premieres Monday.

Spencer needs to mind his own damn business and worry about why Heidi just wants him for publicity. L.C never did anything but try to protect Heidi..dumb ass bitch!

I love Heidi... I started out viewing things completely through Lauren's point of view only and that's just not fair to Heidi. I see some kind of scary jealousy/clingy/needy sides of Lauren... I think she needs to take a chill pill and let Heidi live her own life. Lauren said that they didn't have to "stop being best friends but something has to change"... what Lauren was really saying was "if you stay with Spencer, I'm not your friend." I don't hate Lauren, I don't hate Heidi, I don't even hate Spencer (anymore). There's two sides to every story and this show (The Hills) is going to favor Lauren's side because, after all, it is her show. I think everyone needs to back off Heidi.

Heidi must be the stupidest woman on the face of the earth. You would think that after viewing last season and hearing Spencers' comments about her she would get a clue but apparentley not. omg i totally agree with rachel. i don't like lauren at all and i really like heidi. lauren is totally a bitch. she tries to control all of her friend's lives and she should just mind her own business. heidi tried to make it work but lauren wouldn't do it.

Honestly, I hate spencer, and Heidi is just doing this because she thinks its cute. I think that Lauren is better off with out Heidi. They shouldn't even be on the show!

if you watch the episodes after heidi chooses to move out on lauren (right after spencer near dumped her for not wanting to move in with him) heidi is the queen calculating psycho girls, trying to play stupid social games with jen b., spreading rumours & trash talk, trying to prove that she's better than lauren, & completely twisting events that happen to make her look victimized. maybe lauren doesn't a little bit, but not to the extent that heidi does, and lauren really didn't do anything messed up to heidi to ruin her reputation so... heidi goes on to talk about how she's "not a catty girl" & doesn't have time for this. anyone see the episode when heidi sees lauren at ketchup? yeah, heidi definitely wasn't catty there (how do you show sarcasm through the internet?)
