The National Enquirer is not a celebrity news source that can always be taken at face value, or trusted every time a new issue hits the supermarket aisle.
Don't get us wrong. That pic of Sanjaya Malakar's mom with a bong? That was pretty tight. And another story of theirs that we thought was baloney - Isaiah Washington going ballistic on the Grey's Anatomy set - turned out to have some merit as well.
The venerable celebrity gossip rag's newest claim, though, seems a bit far-fetched to our staff members: that Jamie-Lynn Spears is pregnant.
Granted, this wouldn't altogether shock the staff of The Hollywood Gossip dot com. After all, she's got Lynn Spears for a mother and the biggest train wreck around for a big sis.
But Jamie-Lynn Spears is only 16 years old. That's a year younger than Heroesâ Hayden Panettiere, and there's no way that cutie would ever get knocked up. Think about it.
Still, the Enquirer claims that some as-yet-unnamed guy has put a bun in the oven of Britney Spearsâ little sister - and may be looking at an 18-month jail sentence if it's true.
Well, unless he's also 16, in which case, holla at ya boy! We'll have more on this latest hot celebrity gossip rumor as more details become available.
In other news, the Enquirer's lead story, one far less interesting than Jamie-Lynn Spears pregnancy rumors, talks about new TomKat and Brangelina "secrets." Yawn.
UPDATE: Who knew the Enquirer was so prescient? While this story you are reading here proved to be bull$h!t ... sources confirmed on December 18 that boyfriend Casey Aldridge really did get Jamie Lynn Spears pregnant!

Yeah. I heard about that like, 10 minutes ago. He current boyfriend is 18 years old, so it's a possibility as it being him, but who knows? No one really knows much about Jamie Lynn. But we all know about Britney. And if she's anything like her...
Well, Jamie's a year older than me. And she's a a Nick star. x.x It won't go down well.

hmm....
i can't actually stand celebrity magazines like the Enquirer, but when i was in the queue to pay for my hersheys cookies n creme i couldn't help but notice the yellow notice smacked across the top of the cover. i do feel sorry for her - nobody can confirm that she is pregnant but already everyone is talking about it. although the fact that she, like her big sister, started out before finishing school, creating this squeaky-clean image. it's still not too late to stop her from ending up in the state Britney's in right now.
even if she is pregnant, she might be able to show that teenage moms can still do something with their lives, as everyone seems to think that all teenage moms turn out to be complete failures. i don't know...
just thinking though, how funny would it be if it was one of the guys off of zoey 101????

evrybody in the world is messed up. nothn that happens in a familys life gives an person from that family to do stupid things but still.....its not like this would be the first time that sumtn like this has happened. for now it is an un proven rumor. nothn is said and done yet. this same things happens evrywhere. so just because shes a star she get slammed for it. its not right. evry one just needs to leave evry one in hollywood alone. they r the same as us except famous. theyv made mistakes and so have we. not all the same mistakes but still...
