Here's is music to the ears of Brooke Hogan: soon, she may no longer be the worst singer on the market.

That's because Paris Hilton, who spent 23 days in Los Angeles County Jail after violating probation for an alcohol-related driving conviction, recently said: "I'm already working on my new record."

While we hope this was uttered just to distract people from her latest nipple slip, our well-trained celebrity news antennas know better; the hotel heiress and Simple Life star is truly planning on recording more songs.

She added that she's been collaborating "for a few weeks" with Scott Storch, a producer who helped with her first album and has also produced hits with Beyoncé Knowles, Christina Aguilera, 50 Cent and others.

As People magazine reported, the self-titled album Paris, a co-production between Warner Bros. and Hilton's own Heiress Records, was released last summer and sold around. 600,000 copies. The single "Stars Are Blind," though, proved to be a minor hit.

This time, Hilton â€" who told Larry King last month she is turning over a new leaf and seemed about as believable as Victoria Beckham saying she doesn't like media attention â€" is determined to take music seriously.

She's even taking voice lessons several times a week. It's unknown when the personality lessons begin, however.

In the meantime, Ashlee Simpson is determined to prove that she's actually a worse singer than either Hilton or Hogan. But we'll leave that up to the fans to decide.
