Kelly hasn't made a public appearance lately since she's chunked up. Carrie Underwood will be on this season of Nashville Star sometime... and Taylor Swift will be in the premiere on Monday. NBC at 9 pm bitchez!

Like I said Kelly has a new album coming this fall and from what I hear it is supposed to be great. She is working with One Republic's leading man Ryan Tedder who wrote Leona Lewis's Bleeding Love and he is a really great songwriter just like Kelly. And at least Kel isn't anorectic. KC can out sing Carrie anyday.

Carrie definitely.............Kelly's good, but country will beat out pop almost any day.....country stars are remembered forever, and it has taken so long for Kelly to come out with another album that I had thought she had quit and went back home.

What do you mean it has taken a long time for Kelly to come out with a new album. Let's see her 3rd album came out last June and her 4th album is coming out either this October or November. I say a year and a half isn't a long time especially for an album to come out. During all of this time Kelly was finishing her My December tour oversees, sang for the pope, working her but off for this fourth album. And if she did went home it was a time for her to relax because the girl has worked non-stop since she won Idol. Kelly will always be remembered.

I saw Carrie in concert, like her music on the radio, and her videos, couldn't wait for her to get off the stage, she was boring me to death. She has become so plastic, like a barbie doll. I do like her music though. Kelley, I love her songs too, I love that she can cross the lines between country and pop. I haven't seen her in concert so can't comment on that. I totally agree with her on Clive Davis though, he is out of tune with mainstream America. Taylor got out of his contract because they weren't fulfilling their obligations. He never even got a video for any of his songs. Taylor was not allowed to be himself which is what everybody bought on the show, his style of music. All they got most of was Clive's couple of released bubblegum music, didn't promote it even. Taylor will be back in the spotlight. So will Kelley, they know what there fans want, retire old man.

Apparently back in April there was a reshuffling of executive ranks at Sony and they appointed Clive the Chief Creative Officer for Sony BMG worldwide and doesn't have a say on KC's new album. Which I think that is something the head honchos at Sony created just for him. I'm not sure if it had to do with the way he treated My December and how he didn't promoted well. The guy who replaced him is Berry Weiss, and according to Kelly's guitarist Aben this Berry guy is interested in Kelly's ideas. Finally there's somebody who is actually interested in Kelly's artistic ideas and respects her as a true artist.

I only know carrie underwood from ai but ive not actually heard any of her music til recently. But kelly clarkson is an international star but most importantly a great performer. She really knows how to connect with her fans. So im impartial to this arguement. Cant wait 4 the new album :)

love carrie. it seems like she is always having a number 1 hit She also always has a new song out on the radio Alot of her songs pple can relate to. kelly is ok. She never really has number 1s though and she doesnt have new songs out all the time. There r some places she hasnt sung at yet and carrie has. Carrie has been to my state 2 while kelly has never been here. Also she breathes really heavily during some of her songs.

Kelly is far from begin ok. She does have seven number ones. People can relate to practically all of her song "Because of You" for example (which was number one in the world for two weeks back in '06). Her new single is coming out next month and I hear that her new album is supposed to amazing so just wait.There are probably are some places where Kelly hasn't sang at but Carrie has. There are more places where Kelly has performed where Carrie hasn't. Kelly has performed all over Europe, Australia where Carrie hasn't even gone there yet. Kelly also performed at the Asian VMA's a few years back. And Kelly has probably performed at places here in the states where Carrie has not. And she does breathe really heavily. Wrong again fried. Kelly fricken kicks ass. She has more power and range. I do like Carrie though .

How dare you exclude Fantasia. She's undoubtebly the best singer among the 7 winners. Carrie and Kelly may have managed to garner the most media attention, but since Idol, Fantasia's voice has not only tremendously increased in power and range, but her vocal stylings from her polished portamenti to her jazzy improv melismatic embellishments and scatts put her on an entirely different level than the other past winners. She exudes brilliance in every performance and she has the most evocative voice and stage presence which automatically commands the attention of the audience...She's the legend in the making. Kelly is just a rising pop/rock diva and Carrie is just another overrated country singer....And let's not forget Fantasia has had more grammy nominations than any other Idol alumnus.

Carrie's voice is abit annoying, and not strong enough for my interest.
But kelly's voice rocks my ipod!!!
and Kelly has had more succesful singles then Carrie.... 8 singles each have reached the top 100 billboard! which i believe is more then Carrie has done!

Kelly Clarkson has classical training, while Carrie Underwood has no formal training at all, yet Carrie is the one who is totally consistent in live performances and doesn't lose her voice every other month. Kelly's "vocal range" is a result of pushing her vocal cords beyond their natural means. Kelly's highest belted note is an A5..in mixed voice. Carrie's highest belted note so far is an effortless F#5...in PURE chest voice.
Kelly's F#6 "whistle" in "Natural Woman" started totally flat, and she never did it again after that performance. Carrie I believe could tap into the whistle register if she wanted, because I've heard her scream A6s and Bb6s before.

Hey Melissa are some voice coach or something. Kelly's range is just as high as Carrie's maybe even a little better. Kelly is consistent too, recently on tour with Reba her voice was better than ever. Carrie couldn't hit that whistle note. Kel has the better range though and she doesn't push her vocal cords, it's all natual to her. And she get praises for her voice and range.

So Kelly Clarkson, has just slightly more record sales in America, then Carrie Underwood. But she also has 2 more albums (or is it 3 can't remember). But, Carrie Underwood, has very poor worldwide sales, in most countries her album doesnt even get released, because most countries dont listen to country music. Kelly Clarkson on the other hand, has much much better worldwide sales then Carrie Underwood, so in reality I would say they are pretty even. Like if Carrie Underwood releases a few more albums she will have caught up to Kelly in sales.
Oh, and one more thing, out of the two Kelly Clarkson, has the most successful album. Her Breakaway album, sold better then any of Carrie Underwoods, so that is some food for thought. Breakaway sold over 13 million copies worldwide, which in my opinion is very good.
