Joey McIntyre is a former New Kid on the Block. But he's known a lot better these days as one of the first season contestants on Dancing with the Stars.

Therefore, his opinion of current contestants does hold some weight. It's not like the guy is chiming in on the Larry Birkhead/Virgie Arthur custody battle.

With that in mind, here's what Joey Mac had to say about the chances of gold-digger Heather Mills in this year's show:

"At first I wasn't a big fan of her - I don't know her well - but it's obvious this was a good ploy for people to see another side of her. Paul McCartney's kind of untouchable and she kind of gave him the run around, so it doesn't seem like she has a lot of fans. Regardless, she's obviously game and going for it, so you've got to respect her for that."

We don't HAVE to respect her at all, Joey. As Stephen Colbert says, Mills and her fake leg are very much on notice.

An American Idol sex tape? Not so surprising anymore.

Not when compared with the news that Prince William has split from his long-time girlfriend.

The breakup with Kate Middleton was "amicable," according to a friend of the couple that talked to People magazine.

The prince, 24, and Middleton, 25, have been dating for nearly five years, after meeting at St. Andrews University in Scotland. A spokesman at the prince's office at Clarence House says they will not be commenting.

"We don't comment on Prince William's private life," the rep says.

Fortunately, The Hollywood Gossip does. And we didn't see this break-up coming. Looks like Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy now have the only royally stable relationship.

Middleton and William reportedly had grown increasingly independent of each other since their university days. The prince is currently taking an armored corps commander course in Dorset, around 125 miles west of London, and it has kept him from Middleton and her new life in London.

Although Middleton has been "brave," as one friend tells People, the media attention was an ongoing source of trouble. Earlier this month, she won a public apology from a British newspaper after it printed a photograph of her heading to work.

Wow. If that makes someone upset, imagine how Olivia Mojica must feel now that we have nude pictures of her.

Spencer Pratt. Our readers know how we feel about this rich loser from The Hills.

We hate him! Sharing that sentiment, along with most viewers of The Hills, was a fellow celebrity gossip site, which unlike The Hollywood Gossip, was able to swallow its pride and request an interview with Spencer Pratt himself. The man and his lame gold chains complied.

The interview below - which Heidi Montag (following her new boob job) also takes part in - may shock you in that Spencer is, at times, not 100 percent annoying.

It's more like 65-75 percent. So rather than wanting to gouge your eyes out with a butter knife, you'll merely shake your head in minor irritation.

Below, the stars chat candidly about their life together, Heidi's strained friendship with Lauren Conrad (and budding friendships with Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port) as well as plenty of other things we didn't see on The Hills....

Q: People have pretty strong opinions and perceptions about the way you are both portrayed on reality TV. How accurate is the portrayal and what do you think is the biggest misconception that viewers have?

Heidi Montag: People don't know every side. It's a reality TV show about several people's lives. It's accurate of who we are, but sometimes the situations can be misconstrued. It is 20-minute, edited drama. They can't show everything.

Spencer Pratt: Heidi and I had just started hanging out when the show started taping and we really liked each other, but all of a sudden I was considered to be her boyfriend. We were flirting all the time, but following the rules of being single. We were both seeing other people at the same time. We were both players - she was playing the game with me. Heidi has game!

Heidi Montag: One of the first nights I saw Spencer at Area he showed up with [Audrina Patridge] and I hadn't talked to her all summer. I was so mad that she came to the club with him. I really liked him that summer.

Spencer Pratt: I did show up with Audrina - because Heidi changed her phone number on me!

Actress Alicia Silverstone is, like, totally into healthy eating and living close to nature.

Which is cool, especially since no one has thought about Alicia Silverstone this decade and it's nice to hear how she's doing.

But as satisfied as Silverstone, the Clueless and Aerosmith music video star, is with her daily life nowadays, believe the Melissa Joan Hart look-alike when she tells you it wasn't always the case.

Steak and doughnuts were among her dietary staples before she cleaned up her eating habits and went vegan, the actress reveals in the newest issue of InStyle Home.

"Now I'm a total health nut," says Silverstone, 30.

"I don't get sick very often and when I do it's for a short period."

Britney Spears, you're on notice.

She attributes her health to her diet and active lifestyle, something you're not likely to experience if you're on the Sienna Miller diet, either.

"It's empowering to know that you're responsible for how you feel each day because of the way you treat your body," said Silverstone.

One of her favorite workouts? Jumping on the trampoline in the backyard of the L.A. home she shares with her husband, musician Christopher Jarecki, 36.

"It's great exercise and really makes you giggle," she says.

Which is exactly what Olivia Mojica says about... forget it.

Silverstone is also passionate about being environmentally responsible. She drives a hybrid car, uses energy-efficient appliances and light bulbs and has solar panels on the roof of her house. Al Gore would be proud.

"I love living this way," she says. "It's so satisfying and inspiring."

Well. It's good to see that for all the Nicole Richie type train wrecks out there, some stars are still grounded and leading fulfilling, happy lives.

Larry Birkhead is the official father of Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern.

But he still has the issue of custody to settle with the awful mother of Anna Nicole Smith, Virgie Arthur.

In a mature, hopeful move, however, the two sides have agreed to meet privately tomorrow to discuss the matter. Arthu's lawyer, John O'Quinn, told reporters that the two Dannielynn family members will get together"to figure out what they believe is in the best interest of this child - and try to get it done."

According to O'Quinn, Birkhead and Arthur will try to hammer out a custody solution that the court will ultimately "like and approve." And we couldn't be happier to hear it. This child has already gone through more in her short life than Kate Moss on a drunken, drug-riddled night.

Here's to hoping for a peaceful, quick resolution to the issue of custody.

Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the last six weeks - or lived with your eyes closed tightly, trying to imagine Eva Longoria nude - you've heard about a certain contestant on American Idol.

His name in Sanjaya Malakar, he's 17 years old and he has no singing talent whatsoever.

But he can be used as a segue over to his sister, Shyamali Malakar. This young vocalist also tried out for American Idol, but was eliminated before the contestants were narrowed down to 24. She's responded to that ousting pretty well, however.

Taking a page from Haley Scarnato, Shyamali is trying to get by on her looks. And maybe her guitar playing.

Either way, the sister of the guy who actually makes Brooke Hogan look like a good singer will be heard from again. You can bet on that.

And the worlds of politics and popular culture collide once again.

Enraged that radio "shock jock" Don Imus has been officially sacked (a tragedy, truly), the attack dogs of the right wing have officially been unleashed on... Rosie O'Donnell.

It's not even Bill O'Reilly trying to take her down this time. It's former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, one of Washington's most powerful figures before being indicted on multiple criminal counts and forced to resign.

On his blog, Tom writes a post stating "If the Left takes [Don Imus], We'll take Rosie." The controversial DeLay calls on conservatives to "protest and demand" that Rosie O'Donnell get the boot from "The View."

No doubt Donald Trump would like to see her gone. But DeLay uses Imus-gate to make a huge deal out of nothing, calling it a "concerted strategy" of the left wing to "unite to destroy."

Riiiiiiight. Because calling a women's basketball team a bunch of "nappy-headed hos" is completely okay and it's the liberal media that's making the whole thing overblown.

Come on, Tom. We're not huge Rosie O'Donnell fans ourselves, but don't you think you're reaching a bit here? Just listen to the sage words of the great Snoop Dogg* on the issue and everything will make more sense.

Going further, DeLay issues a challenge to his fellow right-wingers: "If Don Imus falls to the pleas of political correctness, we're taking Rosie O'Donnell down with him."

Those be fightin' words. Rosie O'Donnell, naturally, shot back on her blog late last night, calling DeLay a "criminal" and telling him to "go away."

Frankly, we wish they both would. Along with Bill O'Reilly. And Star Jones. Snoop Dogg can stay around, though. Far too much entertainment value there.

Just weeks after Joel Madden and Hilary Duff broke up last November, the Good Charlotte frontman began dating skinny socialite (and part time druggie) Nicole Richie.

Still reeling from the difficult breakup, the Material Girls actress, 19, had to watch as the romance blossomed on the celebrity gossip magazines (and websites).

And there's also the fact that Hilary Duff had a stalker.

In the May issue of Cosmo Girl, Hilary Duff opens up about her struggles with her weight, her newfound self-confidence, and what it was like creating her new album, Dignity, while working through the heartbreak. 

She does not, however, address rumors that she's with Stavros Niarchos. Oh well. We'll figure that out in time. Here are some excerpts from the interview:

On her breakup with Joel Madden:
"(Joel Madden) was my boyfriend for two years and I loved him - he was a very important part of my life. All that stuff about the age difference between us being the reason we broke up is just not true; I never felt the age difference. Breaking up was just something that I felt needed to happen between us. People thought we were an unlikely couple, but we really weren't that different. After two months, I didn't even see his tattoos anymore, because that's not who he is. He used to say, 'I don't think there are too many people out there who really get you, but I do.' And he did. I could be stupid, silly, funny, or crazy, and he got it. He gave me a sense of confidence and independence I didn't have before. For a time it was awkward, but we e-mail all the time now and are at a really good place."

THG NOTE: Not quite the same place that Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler are all of a sudden back at. But friendship is a good thing too.

On getting slim:
"I have the same insecurities about my body that every girl has and I made a conscious choice to get in shape. I've always been a junk food eater, but I started paying more attention to what I put in my body and cut out foods like pizza, chicken fingers, and French fries. If I knew I'd want dessert one night, I wouldn't have bread that day. If I wanted to eat bread, I wouldn't have dessert. Seeing how well it worked motivated me to keep going, but I hit a period when I got too skinny. I wasn't too obsessed with it, but I did learn that there have to be days when you just don't think about it."

On her new album, Dignity:
"It's interesting - half the record was written when I was with Joel, and the other half was written after we'd broken up. So together, the album is just really personal. So many of the songs are about things my family has gone through. I was scared to write about that stuff at first, but then I thought, Why try to make it seem like I have a perfect life when I don't?"

Buck, as in wild. Not naked.

Although that presumably came later.

After all, seeing Kate Moss nude is hardly a noteworthy event... even for us.

When she's partying with rocker-junkie beau Pete Doherty, it's only a matter of time.

And party PeteMoss did.

The room they were in apparently couldn't contain such massive amounts of fun, so Kate Moss and her charming non-husband decided they'd take their most recent revelry outside.

By hanging out of the window, that is. Extremely safe... and not at all what you'd expect from a coked-up train wreck.

The cuckoo crooner was chilling backstage at the Hackney Empire in London, when he decided to play a song on the guitar for a throng of chanting fans down below.

Yes, Pete Doherty actually has fans. We're as shocked as you guys.

Kate, as you can see in the picture above, joined him on cigarette. Later, she may or may not have joined him in making a raunchy Kate Moss sex tape.

Lindsay Lohan is denying numerous reports suggesting she and (yes, we're serious) Kevin Federline are a hot new item.

It sounds like total B.S., but there was that rumor surfacing in January that K-Fed hit on Lohan via text message and was rebuffed. Maybe she let her guard down?

The story goes that Kevin Federline spent the night with Firecrotch at the Raffles L'Ermitage hotel in Beverly Hills after she phoned him and invited the rapper to join her for a drink.

Sources tell the National Enquirer:

"Kevin and Lindsay are dating, and Lindsay made the first move... Kevin first met Lindsay through [Britney Spears], and they have always been flirtatious with each other."

Wow, Lindsay Lohan was flirtatious with someone? If that's the best they've got to back this story up, she must also be dating James Blunt and dozens of other dudes right now.

The insiders claim Federline was invited to "talk business" with Firecrotch and he thought the meeting with Lindsay Lohan would be about a film project.

Of course, that would imply he had some sort of career. If this is true, he had to know the call was about gettin' horizontal with the incomparable Crotch of Fire.

Lohan reportedly suggested the pair speak in private after Federline turned up with his manager, and then retired to her suite with the newly-divorced father of Kori, Kaleb (with Shar Jackson), Sean Preston and Jayden James.

The publication, which carries zero credibility, claims the couple made love.

Lindsay Lohan, who also carries zero credibility, denies the story.

Who to believe? Not a clue. But we're pulling for the Enquirer... and the possibility that if K-Fed did tap that ass, he was savvy enough to record it and shop the video around.

This would put any Olivia Mojica or Lauren Conrad sex tape to shame.
