Miss America, Lauren Nelson, Helps Arrest Online Pedophiles
Look, some Miss America winners can only find comfort in the bottom of a bottle. But that's nothing to be ashamed of, Tara Conner.
And others pose nude in Playboy, conduct fights via MySpace and get back together with their tattoo-laden ex-husbands. But that's ok, Shanna Moakler.
Still others that represent our nation take to the streets and help to arrest online pedophiles Way to go, Lauren Nelson.
The most recent winner of the Miss America crown helped the FBI nab such sickos by posing as a 14-year-old on the Net, chatting online with men and then actually meeting them at a house in Long Island, whereupon they were arrested on camera for America's Most Wanted.
"I got to chat online with the predators and made phone calls, too," Nelson said by phone from Atlantic City, N.J. "The Suffolk County Police Department was there the whole time."
No matter Stephen Colbert salutes this beauty.

As I was watching AMW 4/28, I was thinking of my yearbook.com. There are too many quizzes that give aim, yahoo instant messagers ids. There are 14 year olds on the site. I am shocked. What can we do to stop this? Keep up the good work.

I want to thank you and America's Most Wanted. My ex husband sexually assaulted my son when he was 3 and got away with it. Today, I met a 4 year old girl who is already showing off her "butt crack", wants to wear thong underwear and has her hair foiled and colored. I worry about her future. Because of what you are doing, more "scumbags" are being taken off the street. I can't thank you enough. I would love to be a part of that here in Massachusetts. BLESS YOU ALL!

She is NOT Miss USA. Lauren Nelson is Miss America. These are TWO very different organizatios. Please research before you write articles.
