The Hills Gossip: Lauren Conrad Friends with Former Flames

LCLauren Conrad is warm and forgiving. She has no problem staying friends with her exes ... or most of them, that is.

"I'm friends with almost everyone I've dated," The Hills star told People magazine at a party for the Lisa Kline Beverly Hills boutique. "I mean, you liked them in the beginning, [so] as long as they didn't do anything ..."

Like, we don't know, get sentenced to two months in jail for the battery of two men like her ex, Laguna Beach bad boy Jason Wahler?

"Well Jason's a different story," Conrad said. "I tried. I do talk to him every once in awhile, just to check in on him. I think he's doing a little better. He's got a lot of demons to work out, but he's a good person. He'll figure it out eventually."

Oddly enough, LC says there are no hard feelings directed toward Brody Jenner - who she dated briefly last year and who hooked up with Conrad's pal Jen behind her back on a recent episode of The Hills.

"No, we're friends," she said. "We all just went to Cabo!"

Wait, there were no hard feelings over a recent article in Details in which Jenner and his pal Spencer Pratt made some unflattering remarks?

"Honestly, I was nauseous reading it," Conrad said. "I do feel a little bad because if you read almost every quote, it's Spencer. He's a better person without Spencer."

The currently single Conrad, who says she's "dating a lot," might be friendly with her exes, but does she still have a good relationship with her Hills roommate Heidi Montag? LC says yes.

Even though Montag is often shown ditching Conrad for her boyfriend, Pratt, and actually pushed Jenner to make out with Jen? "I mean, these are all things I didn't know," Conrad said. "You have to understand when you watch things, this is our first time seeing it, but it happened months and months ago."

Plus, after her fallout with Kristin Cavallari, LC knows she has to keep as friends friends close by as she can,

If you like having Lauren as a role model one thing you could do is read some Dr. Andrew Weil's books. I saw a picture of him on her kitchen counter during one of The Hills episodes.

Among the little village called Blizeville, where a hill stood in the middle of the town, which can be seen clearly over everyones' rooftops, on the hill there is a little wearout cabin located on the highest point of that hill. Everyone knows who lives in that cabin, but no one dared to even go near that hill, they all know the stories, but no one would talk about it or bring it up. Her name is Ismere, known as the evil witch of the village, no one had actally seen the real her, some people said they saw a glipse of her along the dark trails in the night, or flying across the sky with her bloom, but no one actally had realy proof. Ismere grew up in that town, wasn't noticed at a young age, usually she would stay in her room and rarely come out of her house, even her parents doesn't seem to acknowledge her. At age of 10 she started practing witchcraft, no one knew what she was doing, not even her parents, however many of them were seeing wierd green lights glowing from her window. One day her parents were mysteriosly disappeared, no one knew what happened, but everyone in the villege was sure that Ismere was the only one that could commit the crime, one dark night, all the village gathered in front of her house and draged her out of her room and carried her all the way up that hill where they put up a cabin for her, and make sure there was no way for her to come down. But ever since things started to happen that no one could explain, children started going missing, and people have found blood steins along the woods, and other strange things that kept going on, no one dared to walk the woods at night, all doors were locked at night. They all know it's Ismere whose coming back for revange, rumors spread that she has super powers to put evil spells on people, and she has found ways to come down from the hill and haunts all the people who have put her up on that hill. Up till now no one knows how she does it or what she's going to do next, all they can do is keep their door locked and windows shut, and pray that no one would knock on your door.

Power can be defined as many things, the power to control people, their words and their actions, the needs of getting everything they want, the power to create the good and the power to corrupt. Power is important and it is a necessary component of our society; however power can be taken to extreme levels, and change people in ways that are incomprehensible, even though not many people has actually achieve that kind of power, but when they do, that's when pandemonium breaks loose. The play "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare would be the perfect example to prove that. Macbeth and his wife lady Macbeth was so greedy for the power of a king that they would do anything to achieve that and would let no one standing in the way of their success. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth's lust for power causes them to loose their consciousness and put behind their sense of kindness; it causes them to commit the murder ok king Duncan which stained their clean hands forever; and corrupted the country's peace which leads to the death of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.
Macbeth started out as a loyal noble man, who fought hard for the country of Scotland, who King Duncan trusted and built a great admire for, but the plot however took a twist when Macbeth and Banquo met the 3 witches on the heath, where they put the idea of "power" into Macbeths' head, as they acknowledge him as the thane of Cawdor and the king of Scotland. At first Macbeth was uncertain of the witches' prediction, but when Ross announced him as the thane of Cawdor, which then convinced him that the predictions are really coming to reality, and he will eventually become the king of Scotland. However, at the stage, his mind was still conscious, Macbeth quotes "If chance will have me king, why, chance may crown me, without my stir." Basically he believed what's his will be his, and there is no need to take any false actions, however with his future kingdom lingering at his presence, his mind will no doubt wonder, and his need for power will start to take over his actions. It begins with Lady Macbeth, after she read the letter from Macbeth about the 3 witches and the thane of Cawdor, she made her mind instantly to take control and do whatever needed to be done in order to have her throne, she quotes "unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the toe top full of direst cruelty! Make thick my blood; Stop up th'access and passage to remorse." So now the only thing left for her to do is to influence Macbeth into doing her dirty deeds and put evil into his skin, Lady Macbeth quotes "When you durst do it, then you were a man; and, to be more than what you were, you would be so much more the man. Nor time Nor place." Those words sank deeply into Macbeth's weak mind and gives in to the lady whom has already lost her conscious.
The murder of King Duncan was Macbeth's first step of gaining power, once he got the courage and did it, there was no turning back, and he realizes his hands would forever be covered with blood, and he has forever murdered sleep. "Sleep no more: Macbeth does murder sleep', the innocent sleep, sleep that knits up the raveled sleave of care." (2.2, 35-38). His guilt for murder can never subside, for he murdered sleep, Macbeth would never be able to sleep again. What Macbeth has done that night; drove him insane, he imagined the two voices upstairs after he murdered Duncan, quote "There's one did laugh in's sleep, and one cried ‘Murder!' That they wake each other: I stood and heard them: But they did say their prayers, and addressed them again to sleep. (2.2, 20-24). "One cried, ‘God bless us!' And the other one said, ‘Amen' â€"as though they'd seen me with these executioner's hands. Hearing them so scared, I couldn't say, ‘Amen,' when they said, ‘God bless us'…" (2.2, 26-40) So now it's the guilt that drove him out of his state of mind, to himself he was no longer that noble man; and God has left his side. However what is done cannot be undone, so again there was no turning back now, so Macbeth had to put behind his guilt and focus on gaining more power, and getting rid of all the pebbles down the road that'll stand in his way, the road that leads to their final destruction.
After he finally got his throne; the king of Scotland, his dirty deeds did not stop, because once someone has the power, there are no way but up, and to be able to achieve this, involved the killing of other innocent people. Macbeth still wasn't getting his peace after his throne; he knew the trail of blood he left behind well eventually come back and haunts him, so to prevent that from happening, he killed many others, and his dearest friend Banquo, Macbeth also took lives of other innocent people, including Mac duff's wife and kids, who did nothing and was no threat to Macbeth, people has flee away from Scotland to avoid the big disaster that's about to take place. Because Macbeth's needy for power, the whole country has falling apart, and for him who has became a mad man, has put everything including his life out there to protect his throne, "I have almost forgot the taste of fears: the time has been, my senses would have cooled. To hear a night-shriek, and my fell of hair, would at dismal treatise rouse and stir as life were in't: I have supped full with horrors; direness, familiar to my slaughterous thoughts, cannot once start me." (5.5, 9-15) So to him there was nothing to be afraid of now, what was once terrifying to him now is numb, now all he has and what he had fought for was his throne and he's willing to do anything to protect it. However, evil never wins; Macbeth and Lady Macbeth was both killed during the last battle.
Power is destruction; once you have the access to power; it takes away your good side, and turns it into something terrifying and unimaginable. The power that Macbeth had, turned him into someone he doesn't even know, it takes away your kindness and you ability to recognize between right or wrong, and good or evil. Once you have power, you don't know how to slow down; you keep pushing yourself for more and more, but in the end it will lead to their own destruction.
