Now that Anna Nicole Smith is resting peacefully, it looks as though her daugher may finally do so in the arms of her real father.
After all, a smiling Larry Birkhead emerged from Los Angeles County Superior Court earlier today, where he asked a judge to make Howard K. Stern come to California and submit to DNA testing to determine exactly who Dannielynn Hope's papa truly is.
Birkhead's lawyer, Debra Opri, said she was confident that Stern would be made to come to California, and she also said that Stern "can't hide behind a fake birth certificate" and that his "feet will be held to the fire."
Ron Rale, Stern's attorney, spoke just after Opri, and revealed that Stern, Birkhead, and South Carolina businessman Ford Shelley met privately in his hotel room (without him) but said that no deal resulted.
And Rale clarified that no deal has been made to exchange paternity for part of Dannielynn's future inheritance, saying that Birkhead isn't even named in the will.
Birkhead, for his part, said, "I'm just doing what I have to do for my daughter," and that for him, holding Dannielynn in the Bahamas "was like being in the delivery room."
In the end, Larry is obviously the father. This fact is more apparent to us than how popular Jason Wahler will be in the prison shower.

Howard should be arrested and charged with kidnapping and anyone involved also.
What disgusting lawyers to use a child and deny this baby whom she belongs too for what..money, their client. This is a disgrace.
An innocent helpless baby a pawn of negotiations of lawyers and clients.

howard is doing what he is for love for his wife and child. weather or not he is bioligically the father or not does not honestly matter. in his heart he is and hopefully it will be so....who is anyone to deny a child or anyone else love from anyone. my son has a bioligacal father who has little to do with him. his daddy loves him very much and even though him and i are divorced, he still loves our son and sees him often. i dont feel that taking him away from my son is right. he was only 3 when we divorced, but how can any good parent or person take away a loving parent?? weather or not bioligy the parent, love is what makes a parent!!
roch on howard. keep your daughtor and never let her go. no matter what happens, love her always and she will always be yours.....

It amazes me that people still believe HKS is holding on to the child out of of love. He is doing it because he is broke. He lived off of Anna (he admitted that in court) and now that she is gone, he needs the baby to continue living scott free. He is so broke, he said he had to borrow money from his parents to travel back and forth to florida for the court hearings.
When all is said and done, you will see that love has nothing to do with it. If the child was broke, he would have given it away the day Anna died.
The only person that claimed to be the father of the baby before her death was Birkhead. He wasnt after the money. HKS put his name on the birth certificate to keep a hold on Anna. That was his meal ticket. Now that Anna is gone, the child is .....wake up...the fact is, that child is in danger...he has already ask for money in exchange for the paternity test. Would you sell a child you loved so dearly?

You people need to get a life. How can you possibly know other peoples business. Once they take a test you will know until then get over yourselves lead your own lives and stop fretting over others problems. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

amanda don't you thimk that the real father would want to love this child. when a parent who wants to love their child they should be given the right unless they have been deemed unfit or unsafe.larry has tried to work things out yes hks might love this child but he has no right to deny the true father of his parantal right hks does not need to take the dna just the baby it looks like the bahamian courts might look into hks name on the certificate as possible fraud so i hope they order a dna they know the world is looking on. now i know that some people are saying that larry waited and why after daniel death did he go to court let me tell you from personal experience that my son file for his parantal right the day he and the mother of his child come home from the hospital and the courts had him and his girlfriend appear before the judge about 7 months after he filed you just can't pick when you get to go to court they give you a date and you go when they say.Just think about it his girlfriend was not even denying him visit or was not saying that anyone else was the dad if she had it would have taken longer. Anna left the states because she had been trying to dry out from drugs and when a mother is on drugs cps gets involved and can even take the baby. we don't know how the bahamian hospital do we could only hope they would do the same. larry had allready let her know that he did not want her on drugs and anna got hks to give her drugs right in the hospital room because larry wouldn't that is when she ask him to leave. imo larry should have went to head of nursing and let them know what was going on. sometimes people do the wrong things when they are upset over things like this and it does not mean that larry does not love that child any less nor does it make hks not love that child after all he is proble attached to her because of being with her once again that does not give him the right to deny the father the chance to love her since he clearly wants to be in her life.

Im just waiting for the results. I am honestly worried that the reason Stern does not want to submit and why Anna fought it was b/c Birkhead nor Stern are the father. If that comes out now then V. Arthur (the one person she said she did not want to touch her child) would get custody. Didnt ANS say that we would be surprised at who the father was long before all of this became such a media frenzy?
