Before checking in to rehab at Promises in Malibu for the second time last week, the amazing Britney Spears enjoyed a strange, bewildering day - with two new friends.
Bright and early on February 17, a newly bald Britney arrived at L.A.'s chic Mondrian hotel, ready to catch some rays. But the star was denied a room due to lack of credit cards or cash.
By 11 a.m., the undeterred mother of Jayden James Federline had stripped down to her bra and panties poolside, leaving observers wondering if another Britney crotch shot was soon to come. She then proceeded to shave her legs in the pool bathroom.
"It was sad," says a witness. "It looked like she really needed a friend."
It turns out Britney Spears got two.
Well, at least for a few hours.
Around noon, Spears (then in her super hot blonde wig) began chatting up a woman in the bathroom, who offered to loan the pop star a bathing suit.
The shorn one then followed her new friend to her hotel room where - after changing into the borrowed bikini - she raided the minibar.
"She grabbed four or five bottles and just started mixing everything and drinking them," said the witness, apparently appalled that Britney is rivaling Lindsay Lohan for the title of Hollywood's top lush.
What happened when the group returned poolside? Not any girl-on-girl action from what we can tell. But it's a damn good thing Kevin Federline took the kids away and forced their crazy mama into rehab. Yikes.
