Mother of Anna Nicole Smith Blames Drugs, Fears for Future of Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern
The mother of the late Anna Nicole Smith predicted that the fight over her granddaughter would get "ugly," while dismissing Anna Nicole's rags-to-riches self-portrayal as mere myth-making.
In an interview on Good Morning America, a disconsolate, almost disgusted Virgie Arthur described Anna Nicole as "wild and crazy," and reiterated that she'd warned her daughter to stop using drugs.
She added that she "really sincerely" worries about five-month-old Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern, and wants her to be with her father.
Of course, it's unclear if that is Howard K. Stern or Larry Birkhead. Hence why Arthur, when asked about the pending paternity battle, said: "Oh yeah, it'll get ugly."
Oddly - and almost unprompted - Arthur also took the opportunity to debunk the myth that Anna Nicole's rise to fame was a classic rags-to-riches tale.
"Why do you tell people stuff like that?" Arthur said she asked Anna Nicole. "I'll do whatever it takes," replied Anna Nicole. "If my name's out there, I make money."
It's sad, but true. In many ways, Anna was just like Kim Kardashian and a handful of other pseudo celebrities. Famous just for being famous.

Yeah Nobody did background check on Larry Birkhead or either Howard Stern? why is that too way focus on $$ issue? it wrong. begin to understand what is feel like to be grandmother? Larry is young and too vainy..Larry is happy man to paw on money each time. well Vergie isn't made out to be bad guys. who were the bad guys? Larry and Howard Stern both of them. they both brown nose Anna all the time. they didn't lift a finger to stop Anna from drugs. they lean on and let the show run and I saw them smiling and seem to enjoy the evils sinners. you don't know what country people are? well nodody give a hoots about what country grandma have to say. she is scare yes of course be scare and very concern about Daneilynn. Larry was just a guy who do one night stand with Anna. If i was Larry. I would share joint custody with Vergie. to be fair and square why because Danielynn have rights to know who her mother's family are and same goes for Larry's family too. so they should be fair.

I feel Larry is going to be a saving grace for this baby. He and his family. I think Virgie should not have any more privileges than the other grandmother will have.
Doesn't anyone else see some of the similar factors in this story as the Christina Onassis one? Her daughter was way richer and her dad raised her to be a well adjusted woman. Let's hope Larry checks into what happened in that case and takes some notes.

Come on folks, if Howard says he is the father of the baby then why is he delaying and scared to have this paternity test done, because he knows he is not the real father and he loses millions of dollars. Godspeed Larry and Virgie who will oneday get to bury her daughter and daniel in Texas.

Come on Jamie, Howard was nothing but a stalker. Sneaking into her bed while drugged up. There was even a exerpt from her diary that Anna said she was getting sick of all the phone calls from Howard. Howard was interferring in every relationship that Anna was in, knocking on the bedroom door while she was trying to have sex. Come on, the baby is what seven months old now and who was having a sexual relationship with Anna at the time......not Howard but Larry. Howard knows that he is not the father and just delaying everything. I hope when we find out that larry is found to be the real father that the Bahamian court rips up that Birth Certificate pronto.

I hope larry gets the baby and the Bahamian court grants custody of the baby as soon as possible to Larry. What makes you say that Howard would take good care of the baby when he could'nt even take care of Anna and Daniel. I hope Howard gets kicked out of the house as soon as possible, who in the right mind would give Anna a million dollar house for nothing, let's see the papers to prove that Howard. And Howard suing the media......BOO HOO Howard, did they hurt your feelings. If this doctor that prescribed all these medications to Anna is found liable then I do believe Howard should be too because his name was on 8 of the prescriptions. Poor Anna and Daniel for trusting this scum.

Everyone knows that Anna and her mom were getting along just fine until Howard the (drug dealer) Stern came into the picture. Come on folks.....medication in Stern's name and the clown video while she was pregnant....(this video is worth millions) sterns says. I don't no what you been smoking SAD but the baby does not look anything like Howard and everyone knows and the media said the baby looks like Larry. Howard was Anna's friend and not her lover and daniel hated Howard because of the drugs. I hope Virgie Arthur files for a wrongful death suit against Howard Stern in the near future so he can't profit off of Anna Nicole just like the Goldman's did against O J Simpson. If Stern really loved her that much don't you think he would of helped her, no he did not but supplied her with the drugs to a slow death so he can make millions off her. I think yall are all confused, because no one really knows the true life of anna nicole or howard k stern but howard. Howard loved anna no matter what she was drug head gold digger...ect. He stood by her side through everything and even took respnisibility for dannielynn. On the reality show he was always there as a matter of fact he is in all most every photo of anna. If anna didnt have love for this man she had all the power to make him leave her alone, but obviously she wanted howard there. He may have given her drugs, but have you ever met a drug user? If they dont get it from this person there going to go to the next. I sincerely think howrd really truely loved anna and was probably the only one who did. As for her mother that just a case of cashing in on her daughter. Anna had alot of hate for that woman it seems to me....you may say some things out of anger but its not like thats the first time anna ever said she didnt associate with her mother.....The bottom line is

I have tried to keep up to date on all of this. It is captivating for all. Everyone keeps talking about the money $$$. Nobody has said anything about the dannielynn. Anna would turn over in her grave if she knew that her daughter was being used as a bargining chip. I hope and pray that Howard K Stern is the father. He has been there from day one. I do not believe he is out for the money. But Howard stayed with Anna through everything. People are saying companion- but she has said many, many times he was her best friend. He loved her and there is NO doubt in my mind. They may not have had the traditional man & woman; husband & wife, but who are we to judge. She (Anna) done what she thought was best for her daughter. I agree with Eileen D - completely!! You can find Larry B on any tabloid show every night of the week or good ol' Virgie!! It makes me sick. I hope the baby is Howards! Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern... Period!
