I saw the movie Dreamgirls and i hate to say it beacuse i am a Beyonce fan but Jennifer Hudson blew her away, and it seemed that B was not really connected to the part and she really didn't show alot of emotions not like she does on stage, she seemed like a robot. I don't think that she is jealous of Hudson i just think that she is very uneducated and she needs to learn how to hold an appropriate conversation with the public like when she was on Oprah and they asked Bee how did she lose her weight, instead of an intelligent answer like i worked out and changed my diet she str8 out stated that she fasted and did all liquids. I don't think that she is a good actress or creative song writer but she is a damn good stage performer.

This biased inaccurate article left out a critical fact - Jennifer Hudson had lost a significant amount of weight after "Idol" and was asked to gain 20 pounds for her role as Effie - hence the comment from Ms. Knowles- bad reporting, bad, bad reporting!

Yeah Well Jenifer Hudson is %100 Amazing Beyonce Braggin thats the way to LOSE fans it seems shes taken everything to advantage when this is Jenifers FIRST ever movie and she was strayt up ghetto rocking it and Beyonces been a few films but i have to say jenifer deserved that golden globe award also beyonce is kool to i think they shuld all just settle down i mean it was only 1 movie getova it also jenifer has talent i hav neva seen or hurd before. DAMN!! voice like an angel haha that explains why beyonce got given the back seat hahah but thats ma 2cents im owt jenifer keep doind wat u doing cuz gurl u an inspiration. mWaH!!!

I love Beyonce but Jennifer definately outshone her.Beyonce can't act and even though dream girls was suppose to be her baby it went to Jennifer.My advice to Beyonce is that she needs to take acting classes and do something not at all diva like- i mean all the make up and wardrobe was simply her being herself.She should take a leaf from JLO who is a great actress and is not afraid to be real and do something unlike who she is- her movie Enough or Anaconda.Jennifer is definately going places and i wish her well.I love them both but Beyonce really just can't act and shouldn't have to keep ststing she is a star.Jealousy is a hard pill to swallow..

Listen all, I love JHud I loved her on American Idol and I was glad to hear that she got the role of Effie. So bad is my love for that woman that when it came out that she was starring in the film my family just looked at me and said "We know you going to see your baby girl!" to be honest I really did expect the movie to be a Beyonce vehicle, like it was for Sheryl Lee Ralph in broadway, you forget she was the star, nevermind the fact that Jennifer Holliday got billed as lead too and walked away with the Tony, Sheryl was the original star of the show until the added scenes for the great Ms. Holliday. In other words folks I didn't see anything wrong with Bey getting top billing. Although I love JHud, I don't think she outshone Bey, I simply think she was amazing at her part and Bey was just blah! A different Actress would have stood up to JHud's role, I've seen the play done many a times, and I have seen several Deena's and none ever were outshined. The Effies were what they were supposed to be great vocally and powerhouse singers, while the Deena's played their role convincingly, it made for an amazing dynamic on stage, and too bad for Anika that they cut her role so much, cause Lorell on stage is great too. I think the bottom line is that Bey walked through her performance, She should have concentrated on her acting and left the Album for afterwards. I think her trying to do all that, putting out an album while she was shooting, doing the publicity and all that, took away from her concentration and allowed a newcomer with the chops and ability to walk away with a movie that was supposed to be hers. Maybe she'll learn from this and if given the chance again, she will be 100% in character and committed to a project and not half ass it like she did. I don't think its jealousy she's going through, I think is disappointment at the realization that everyone, including the newcomer brought their A game and she didn't bring her best stuff to the game.

I personally think Jennifer Hudson was the star of the movie. Beyonce was jelaous and mad and she can just get over it. This was Jennifer Hudson's first movie and Beyonce' act like nobody can be in the spotlight but her. Jennifer Hudson outsung her and outacted her. Beyonce darling i love your music but this time you got shone up and that's just how it is. Jennifer You keep doin ya thing and when ya album come out I'll be the first to get my mamma to buy it.

I think Beyonce signed up for Dreamgirls just so she could get an Oscar. I think she just kinda told her agent, "Ok, I want one of those" and they hooked her up. I don't know how the entertainment industry works, but I'm sure that's a little bit of how it went down. But Beyonce forgot one simple thing: A good movie or a winning script doesn't make an Oscar, you have to work to act great! I think if she had to audition for the part instead of just getting in because of her "star power" she could have stood up to Effie. I'm not sure I wanted her to though. Beyonce's star has risen enough already. She needs to sit down and let someone else be the star.
Also, people talk about her father and Destiny's Child. It does make sense why her parents would want their baby to be the star. THEY helped put together the group and funded it and whatnot. But still, the girls were justified to feel like when is it my turn? Her parents squashed everybody to get to the top. They should have just kept Beyonce a solo act if they wanted her to be first.
I personally like Jennifer Hudson better.., she deserves the accolades. She seems more relatable and more like a nice person. A real SOUL SISTA! Beyonce screams DIVA, even though she might not be.
I don't think she's intentionally jealous, I just think that being in the spotlight for so long makes her feel that its always justified to be on her. She is pretty, it just feels like she knows it.
As for rising stars I think Beyonce will always be the most famous. She has more crossover appeal because of her less black features and her slimmer figure. As long as Jennifer Hudson doesn't do a 180 and keep her soul, I think she will have more of a loyal, underground, REAL fanbase, instead of fickle teenagers.

I believe that this was definitely Jennifer's season and time...and whether Beyonce was jealous or not, it doesn't matter-because it was Jennifer's time to receive this particular blessing that God had for her, which happened to be "DREAMGIRLS". We can't get mad at people, for what God has destined to give them, 'cause I know I sure don't want anybody else's blessing. And plus, this role was made for Jennifer-it kind of reminded me of how Jamie Foxx starred in Ray-Jamie was MADE for that, you have to be made for and into the character that you are becoming...and sure enough when you're in the acting industry-you have to work hard, you have to train, you have to lose yourself and become the character that you are portraying...and it just shows that Jennifer was much much stronger in that area. Beyonce has her stronger points to as far as entertaining and being a pop star...we are talking about 2 totally different people. Don't try to compare them, that's impossible, because they were never meant to be alike. I believe as long as Jennifer continues to practice humililty and thank God for the Dreamgirls opportunity-then even more doors will begin to open for her, but what happens when someone else comes along and "in the eyes of the media" TOPS Jennifer Hudson with a WOW performance...do we forget about Jennifer, no...we just make room for the new talent that is being displayed. We have to learn how to always be humble and STEP ASIDE and let God do what God wants to do in our lives. We have to always learn to be happy for people and not hold grudges because someone else gets what we wanted. We have to learn how to give love and uplift each other so that this world can be a BETTER PLACE to live in!

I think all of yall hate beyonce cause you aint beyonce! Beyonce and J. Hudson both did they thing in the movie! Yes, j. hudson was the star, but what does Beyonce have to be jealous of her for? Im sure she knew before she took the role what her position was and if she really wanted all of the attention, then she would have not taken the part! She is already rich and famous and doing her thing! Everybody always wanna hate on B! Don't hate, just congradulate!!!!

I saw Dreamgirls and I absolutely LOVED the movie and though everyone did a good job. Eddie Murphy was classic, Jamie Foxx was convincing, Beyonce (whom I absolutely adore) did alright, a little disconnected, but overall, B+. NOW, Jennifer was good, I'll give her that, although she over-sung the hell out of that song, it was a good solid performance. Especially seeing as this is her first real acting gig out the gate! However, it kind of confuses me as to WHY Jennifer is getting SOOOOOOO MUCH HYPE from her role in Dreamgirls??? First a Golden Globe and probably now an Oscar??? Come on now people, is the academy just tossing Oscars out left, right and center now??
There are many other GREAT African American actresses who deservingly should have an Oscar i.e. Angela Bassett. And if I was an actress like Angela, I would feel a bit slighted by the fact that Hudson comes sailing into Hollywood off of some American Idol hype and in her debut acting role gets all this media frenzy!!!! I think acting is a craft that gets better with more and more practice and takes years of fine tuning, nurturing and learning. Look how LONG it took for Denzel to get his much deserved Oscar.
And as for that uneducated person who commented that Beyonce is not black just because she doesn't have a "black features", educate yourself and stop spreading your own self-loathing onto others. DAMN!
I don't think Beyonce is jealous, a little disappointed and perhaps SHOCKED that Jennifer is gaining all of this HYPE, but Beyonce has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to be jealous about. She's beautiful and sadly, for that reason alone, she has a slew of HATERS !!!
Just fan them off Beyonce !

I believe that deep inside Beyonce is hurt about the whole thing. she was trained well so she of course will never admit sh eisn't hurt, it would make her look bad. she needs to step out of her i'm perfect box and play a role we can all cling to. Jennifer Hudon's character was deep, what she went through was real. betonce was stiff and basically played herself. i wish them both the best

I would like to say that I have never been a Beyonce fan from the gate. She totally did Letoya and Latavia wrong and when she left them to the waste side and blew up she gawked in their faces w/'Survivor'. Now that she is the one getting left to the waste side there is a problem. Beyonce will never be Oscar material. Her role in Dreamgirls was shallow and will only be remembered bc of her name and not her acting ability. If she really didnt have a problem w/J Hud why didnt she have her on her party list after the Grammy's? Spiteful, I think so. So her not getting a SAG, Golden Globe or Oscar is real justice to the fans that look for quality and not commercialization. One more thing, JHud had 4 outstanding solos in the movie. Beyonce's one little solo was so forgettable she had to put it on her album too! Beyonce you cant blame this one on ole Matthew that shooty acting was ALL YOU!....Keep the soulful music coming JHud and best of luck to you in your bright future!

I just would like to say that the movie DREANGIRLS was a real good movie. I loved Jennifer Hudson, she was the best. Honestly, if I was Beyonce I would feel a little jealous because everybody was hyping her up, saying that she had the star role and all. Telling her about all her nominations and everything. She even said in one of her interviews how she want to be the first black female to win golden globes, oscars and whatever else she said. I like Beyonce she is a good singer but acting is not her cup of tea. She should go get a refund from her acting coach. Girl you can sing and all but thats it. Jennifer did a great job in the movie. As an up and coming star and proving to that ass Simon that she can do her thing. Everybody has their moment and this is just Jennifer Hudson time. If everyone wasn't hyping up Beyonce the way they did and putting it in her head that she would win or whatever, it wouldn't have been an issue.

Anybody see the eyes and expressions of Effie since she has a daughter and to the end of the whole movie? Jeniffer did that part SO FAKE! I dont understand why she got an Oscar nomination?! She is still herself, but not that women who suffers so much and came through up and dowm!
But Beyonce's acting is so delicate though she hasn't got a big part like jenifer did.I Love when she yells at Jamie :""Cause U OWN ME?!" so realistic! I Love when she belts in "Listen",and the number right before "and i m telling u" which featured both beyonce and jeniffer shows perfect Beyonce is the one with a flexible and versatile voice. She can change her voice freely from so many different colors!!! And when she belt, much louder and more glorious than the former american idol.Beyonce is A Star and a 18 year old chinese guy living in beijing (which is me) know that! why she cant say sth people all admit?! Beyonce! you are the best!!!

I really like Beyonce; I think Jennifer Hudson is great as well. If Beyonce did make those comments, I think yes, jeolousy has reared its ugly head. I had to read those comments over and over, because I couldn't believe what I was reading. I think is/was a tinge of jealousy. The attention has been on Beyonce for a very long time, and now someone else has taken over the spot light, I think that makes her feel a little insecure. I know she is beautiful and talented and all, but that does not mean anything. I dont think she should have made those comments, especially about gaining 20lbs. She told off on herself. Look past the beauty and her talent. Read what she said. Jennifer is new, Beyonce has been out there for a while. Beyonce never give anyone props, everyone is always proping her up. I think she (Beyonce) is a talented performer, but her acting need some work. One of the producers of Pink Panther said the same thing. When she sings, she gives it her all. When she acts, she does a lousy job. Just like Michael Jordan trying to play baseball. She really does need to make comments like that anymore. She has to be first, which is fine, but you dont step on others. This is why she is not in a group. Kelly and Michelle were like her backup singers. Like I said, I don't have anything against her. she is young and talented and I applaud her for doing great things with herself, but she really does need some help with acting. She also need to take diction classes. Beyonce, stay as sweet as everyone thinks you are. Don't be greedy, there is enough room out there for everyone. You will lose some of your fan base acting like that. There are a lot of talented people out there. Give them a chance, like someone gave you a change. Peace!

Too often because someone is beautiful on the outside, it becomes very difficult to see the person as they really are. To say that I am a star, I think went too far. I think she is really being unfair and jealous. I think that Beyonce has been on a high horse for a long time, and someone has come along who has taken the spotlight for a moment, she has become a little jealous. At least this is how it sounds to me. Beyonce is a great performer, her talking is not so great. But a lot of people have looked over that and looked at her beauty. I guarantee as time goes, and more talented people come out, the true B is going to come out. Give others a chance.

i think beyonce is very jealous, also conceited...to say that she is a star hearing it comes from her mouth means that she has to remind herself...and who the hell wants to know or cares if she has 9 grammys good for her the world do not need to remember that if she feels a little jealous and left out then she remind herself in her mind...not out loud we do not care....she do not know the meaning of being humble is she was she would have been happy for another black sister...becuz we are all black abd by both of them winning they are representing the black race and how talented we are....plus beyonce have all the millions already as she puts it she is a star...let another black sista get a piece of the pie..i think beyonce is only humble when she sees that the spolight is on her and no one else..like with kelly and michelle she loves those girls becuz they are humble and they didnt give beyonce any competition they took the back seat and let her do her thing and get all the attention and that is what beyonce loves so after a while she gets humble but becuz all attention is on jennifer then the real beyonce that couldnt grt along with letoya becuz she was brown is coming back to life...cuz remember when she just came out nobody could stand her because she was conceited and behave as if she is the best of everything and no one is better than her...then she calms down becuz she feels she is the "it" now...but jennifer flap har show...go jennifer i am proud of you.. and isee someone talking about if the oscars is just throwing out award like that...let me answer that "no"...but if you natrually got it and was born with it you do not need to be acting for 40-50 yrs before you get one..maybe denzel is good now but when he just started he wasnt as good so it took him a while to get one..jennifer on the other hand was born with it naturally..and the oscars recognize that so shut up if you dont know what you are talking about
