Which is both good and bad, for varying reasons. In any event, eccentric rocker Prince is reportedly going to headline this year’s Super Bowl half-time show in Miami, with Cirque de Soliel doing the pregame show honors.

It will be the first Super Bowl to be shown on CBS since the now-infamous Jackson / Justin Timberlake “wardrobe malfunction” mishap in 2004, the New York Post reported Monday.

It also marks one of the few performances scheduled by the somewhat reclusive artist in 2006. The last time Prince performed for such a huge TV audience came when he appeared on the American Idol season finale this past May.

Hopefully, we can expect the once-unnamed pop star, whose most recent album is titled 3121, to come out with the Super Bowl XLI logo tattooed on his face. Can you imagine if the score of the game were 31-21? Apocalyptic.
