Ailing McPhee Misses First Leg of Idol Tour

We feel sorry for residents of Manchester, NH. While they'll have a chance to enjoy Taylor Hicks and other American Idol phenoms, Katharine McPhee has been diagnosed as being too sick to perform during this leg of the tour.

McPhee's doctor ordered "complete voice rest," prompting the following statement from this almost Idol to her fans:

I need to follow my doctor's orders to recuperate and reunite with the rest of the idols.
