A Country Catfight Between Dixie Chicks, Reba McEntire
Insults flowing from someone with a lame sitcom on the WB? We're not sure how seriously the Dixie Chicks can take criticisms from Reba McEntire, but this country catfight appears to be gaining momentum.
The red-haired singer says she's "very disappointed" in the group for comments its made about the country music insutry, along with wel-publicized comments about President Bush.
Martie Maguire, one third of this controversial trio, told Time magazine the singers don't care very much. They prefer to attract fans who "will grow with us as we grow and are fans for life, than people that have us in their five-disc changer with Reba McEntire and Toby Keith ... We don't want those kinds of fans."
Snaps, yo. In response, Reba defended her field and those within it.
"I've never turned my back on country music," she told the CMT network. "So when somebody talks bad about my music, my family, that does not set well with me. And when you bite the hand that feeds you, I just don't think that's very nice."
Reba also said she was "very glad" the comments about her and Keith were made public because "I was ready to say that because I hope they realize that they're not doing themselves any favors."
Now, about that sitcom ...

I can honestly say I love rebas voice and acting and that she is simply one of the greatest singers of all time, I also used to love listening to Dixie Chicks, but after they talk down on reba that's when they got all of their songs deleted off my I-pod, I'm glad the Dixie chicks don't sing together anymore, I can safely say I hate them now and their remark on reba and how she responses to it makes me have even more respect for her, I never want to hear another Dixie chicks song again and if I do, I'll turn on some reba. She is the altime best singer ever!

Reba will be 55 in March of this year and still looks and sings as beautiful as she did when she recorded her first single. The Dixie Chicks on the other hand, cannot sing all that great, they are 40, 37 and 35 and by the recent photos on their website and on cmt.com, they look older than Reba. They look like they take drugs and have had multiple plastic surgeries, and most like have done both.
The only reason they hate on Reba is because she is friends with the Bush's. Only a very shallow and immature person would hate someone based on who their friends are.
They hate Toby because of his song "Courtesy of the Red White and Blue". Neither of these superstars to my knowledge have expressed an opinion one way or another about the war. Toby's song simply says if you attack the USA, we will fight back. The Dixie Chicks although entitled to their opinion about war, are basically saying it's ok that 5000 innocent people were killed on 9/11, that 100 children woke up in their home on th

Dixie Chicks suck, pure and simple!!! They need to stay home and raise their ugly babies!

There is no need for what the dixie chicks have done and will continue to do I am sure. Reba was just evening out the playing board with the comment she made about "foot in mouth" and that had probably been written by producers and writers of the show anyway. You reap what you sow and if the Dixie Chicks think they can do as they wish and please without consequences they are in for a surprise. And yes, I agree people are free to state their opinion. However, have a little respect for others and if you have nothing good to say, keep your mouth shut.

The Chicks suck, never liked them from the get go,their music is stupid, come on listen to "Earl".as for trashing the President i seem to recall Jane Fonda doing something like this.Reba has a true country voice the chicks do not and are not country singers and have not been played in my neck of the States in a long, long time.don't miss them a bit.they take on Toby and Reba two big time singers.they have no respect for those who opened doors for them.
